Fan favorite
I buy this specifically for my 10 year old whose kidney values are creeping up; an Rx kidney diet isn't necessary yet. She LOVES this. Since there are hydrolyzed proteins in it, she's able to eat it without vomiting (she also is extremely sensitive to different proteins). Even my other cats try to eat it. Since it's so expensive, I mix it in with her favorite wet food.
Kidney food.
This product was beneficial at first and more affordable than the other kidney foods. At first our cat enjoyed it, but as his kidneys got worse nothing appealed to him. He was such a sweet boy and we will miss him.
warning on 'low protein'
Be warned on claims on low protein. If it doesn't contain any harmful or useless fillers, is low in protein, the what does it have? From my exhaustive search on food corporations to small/med businesses... There are companies more than willing to be transparent about what their food contains, and others who are refuse to show any consideration for the concerns we have as cat parents. I will have to move on to a different brand.
Makes Cat Sick
Had such very high hopes for this product, but after consuming cat wouldn't eat for a few days, including canned or pouch food from other brands. Gave to same cat about 10 days later. Same result. Don't know what is in it that's causing this reaction, but noticed others in reviews are having similar results. From what I can see the USDA may not monitor this brand since it is made in Italy.
cat loves it
my cat is supposed to be on a renal diet, and this is one of the few food brands that i can find that doesn’t have awful ingredients like byproducts and wheat. however my only problem is that ingredients on the bag do not match what are listed on Chewy. the bag lists corn gluten as the 3rd ingredient, which is not good. however, my cat only gets a small handful of kibble a day early in the morning and wet food the rest of the day so i dont think its that big of a deal and its still better than other renal diets out there. will buy again because he loves it.
5 cats won't touch it
The taste must be really bad, and the heart pieces are very hard. One cat ate a little and threw up, then wouldn't touch it again.

Lexie was diagnosed as being in early stages of kidney failure and dietary changes were recommended. I'm very glad a small bag is available and that is what I bought for my picky cat. At first she tore into it like it was the best food she had ever eaten, but then turned up her nose and walked away at subsequent feedings. It seems like a good quality product. I recommend buying the small bag to try it since ya never know whether or not a cat will like it.
Smelled like machine oil
I bought the 1lb bag and my cat ate it no problem. Then I bought a bigger bag, which smelled like it just came out of a steel factory. It was covered in an oil (similar to French fries coming out of the deep fryer). The oily substance smell was reminiscent of machine oil and felt like it. Made me wonder if the factory freshly oiled the equipment and it got on the car food. Do not recommend it.
Ingredients do NOT match
The ingredients listed on the bag do not match what is listed on Chewy.com or the Forza10usa website. Will update review if this changes or I hear back from company.
She Loves it
When our vet said we needed to switch to kidney food for my old cat I thought it was hopeless. I was sure she would not eat it, as she would not the kidney formula wet food. To my amazement I tried this and she loves it.
