Questions & Answers

1 Customer Questions

What is the "slow-release mechanism" and is it adjustable (difficulty level)? What is the diameter of the hole? Is there more than one hole? Does the ball come apart for cleaning/filling?
Answer by ChewyJan 10, 2020
The diameter of the hole for the Small Treat Ball is 0.625 inches. The diameter of the hole for the Large Treat Ball is 0.8 inches. The slow release mechanism comprises of strategically located “tabs” inside the hole to prevent the treats from simply rolling out. There is no electrical mechanism of any sort. The entire toy is 100% TPR. To clean the ball, simply ensure it’s empty first. Fill with soapy water, cover the hole and give it a good shake. Rinse it out until the water runs clear with no soap bubbles/foam. Alternatively, you can also use a vinegar and water solution. Set on a drying rack with the hole facing downwards to let fully dry. We recommend leaving it over night to ensure it is 100% dry in order to prevent any chance of mold.

Please never discontinue these

My dog found one if these balls and fell in love. We searched and searched and found them on your site. My guard dog, a Belgian Malinois, has this constantly in her mouth. Makes her look really ferocious.

Lasted 4 minutes

I had high hopes for this one! I have a 50 lb pit mix and she had holes and small pieces torn off of this in a literal 4 minute window. Don't leave a super chewer unattended for ANY length of time with this toy. I didn't even have it stuffed with any sort of treat, I just let her have the ball as is. When it came out of the package I thought it was sturdy and made well, it has more squish and a silicone feel to it than I thought but I still assumed it was sturdy enough to last a bit longer than it did.

Tough for Tough Chewer

Great toy to throw for dog to retrieve and shake. She has big teeth and has not punctured any of this. It's perfect! Thank you.

Ball of fun

My doberman chews threw all toys. He's had this ball for 4 days, and it's still in one piece. So far so good. And he loves walking around with it in his mouth.
