    Well made, useful product

    By on

I saw this product and sat on the idea for awhile. Do I really need a convertible leash? I regularly saw uses for it, so after a month I bought it. Pros: I love going out for brunch, coffee, drinks with my friends and my dog, this gives me piece of mind that the dog is secured on my chair. This is a must have if you do a lot of walking to outdoor dining (we live in DC). The product is really sturdy and serves its purpose. Cons: it takes a little longer to get the leash on and off. One thing that I noticed after regular use is: when my dog shakes his head, the metal carabiner hits your hand. Yikes.

    Comfortable, sturdy, easy

    By on

I bought 2 of these for my pitbulls Hercules and Bella to replace their very beloved worn out leashes and I will admit, THESE ARE EXCELLENT! I have tiny hands and even if I loop the leash, it's super easy and comfortable to hold. The bullies are very well behaved on a leash but even if excited to see someone we know I can handle both at the same time and have the ability to keep them mannered as we approach. If you have ever used a rope lead for a horse, you will absolutely appreciate this leash for your dog.

    Great in theory

I love everything about the way this leash looks, but at over $50 (not on sale) it just doesn't hold up well for a leash at this price point. I have had it for almost one year. The O rings that you can snap the carabiners to will slide up the leash with pressure, so if your dog pulls at all, your leash will be changing sizes. I often find myself twisting the O rings back down the leash. The key ring on the number tag also caused the cotton to begin to fray after about six months. The leash is a bit stiff, but that shouldn't be a problem if your dog isn't much of a puller. I really, really wanted this leash to work out, because I love how flexible it is, but the construction doesn't match the I love everything about the way this leash looks, but at over $50 (not on sale) it just doesn't hold up well for a leash at this price point. Works Fantastic

    By on

For those reviewers who stated this leash was not adjustable enough, watch the video! The round metal rings on the leash can be spun up or down the cording to create a customized handle size or to fit around any waist size. While the price is hefty for a leash, this one is so multi-purpose it is well worth the investment. I removed the hanging tag piece - not necessary and just dangles like a bracelet charm! My only complaint is the need to twist the carabiner to lock it - I would prefer a clip style that doesn't require two hands to operate but the locking style definitely provides security.

    Best Leash I Ever Owned!!!

    By on

We wanted to train our Malinois puppy, Ollie, to ride in our camper van like our previous dog did, lying on her bed between the two captain seats. This was a breeze with the Found My Animal leash. I rode in the passenger seat with Ollie tethered to me cross body, preventing all unwanted behaviors and improper roaming. This leash made this training a breeze, even with this super-busy-running-on-atomic-energy puppy. Plus she could chew on it when she got bored: not even a hint of a tooth mark on this seemingly indestructible leash. At rest stops, we used the full length to allow Ollie go potty. Best leash I ever owned!

    So Worth It

    By on

I was apprehensive of buying this leash at first because of its price but it is worth it. I wear it around my waist for added security. It is very nice quality and I get a ton of compliments on it.

    Love these leashes!

    By on

We have several of these leashes. What a lifesaver! The around the waist option is fantastic! My hands stay free and I never worry about slipping from my hand. I also love the standard leash option. We keep one metal loop for waist and one for handle. Both work very well, are super secure and the quality is excellent. I buy the large for the around the waist purpose. I also love that the hardware is super secure so never have to worry about it unlatching. Highly recommend this leash! Plus they are gorgeous leashes.

Weird leash that doesn't work for us

    By on

We have several of the old Found My Animal leashes, which featured a loop handle and bull snap clasp. After we lost one of them, we tried to reorder and discovered that the old standard leashes have been completely replaced with these new adjustable leashes. Unfortunately, the new leashes do not have a handle, and we find the carabiner to be unwieldy. In order to create a handle, it is necessary to hook the carabiner to one of the metal loops, but the resulting handle is too big. The adjustable nature comes from attaching the carabiner to create a longer loop for wear around one's waist, but it would need to be used as a belt otherwise it will fall down around your ankles (and if you're too heavy We have several of the old Found My Animal leashes, which featured a loop handle and bull snap clasp. The carabiner itself is a multistep process where the pushing in of the carabiner seems insecure as I could see how the leash could inadvertently come off while walking the dog. To lock it, the carabiner is screwed on, but I could also see how the screw could become unscrewed with a lot of rubbing from a dog that pulled a lot. In sum, the new leash did not work for us at all, which is a shame because we loved the old Found My Animal leashes. Interestingly, after much research we found a similar leash to the old Found My Animal leash on Etsy. The leash is called the Nantucket and it's made by Harbor Hound. It is made of the same nautical quality soft durable rope, and it comes in several colors, rope sizes, and lengths. It is also less expensive than the old Found My Animal leashes. Perhaps Chewy would consider carrying the Harbor Hound Nantucket leashes? … more
