Where is this manufactured?

This food is made in the USA with the finest ingredients from around the world.

What is “rabbit meal” ingredient in the dry food?
Answer by ChewyApr 07, 2022
Rabbit meal is made up of rabbit that has been ground and cooked, reducing the fat content to create a protein-rich ingredient.

The product contains salmon oil. Is there any fish derived protein?
Answer by ChewyFeb 23, 2022
The only animal protein source is rabbit, within this recipe. Salmon oil provides marine specific omega 3 and DHA and EPA sources that meet the nutritional requirements for cats but does not contain any fish protein, so there are no fish-derived sources of protein in Limited Ingredient Grain-Free with Rabbit Dry Cat Food. That said, if a pet has an allergy to all fish-based ingredients, we recommend they work closely with their veterinarian to find a prescription or personally formulated diet to better accommodate their unique needs while ensuring all nutrient requirements are met.

Gave Fred Diarrhea

Fred is on a diet for sensitive stomach and only eats rabbit recipe food. I wanted to try this new brand in an attempt to reduce costs. He loved it. After a week of a very slow transition (still only about a quarter of his food was Freely) he ended up with diarrhea. I immediately stopped giving him Freely and it cleared up within a few days.

Loving this food

As a 15 year old cat, my needs have changed over the years---I tend to get an upset tummy often. I was losing hair and vomiting (a few times a week). My doc said all my bloodwork is perfect for my age! I got an allergy shot, and my mom has stopped feeding chicken to me. She gave me this tiny kibble made of rabbit, and I'm so much better now. I've been eating it for a couple of weeks now with only wet food made of fish and have only thrown up once.

Cat with Allergies?

My prayer old cat was diagnosed with chicken and fish allergies. I tried two other brands that were a combination of turkey and duck or duck and pea- he hated both. He actually lost weight as he simply didn’t want to eat his food. Luckily, he seems to be liking the Freely rabbit a bit more. While he’s still not eating as much as before, he’s eating 90% of his bowl. I also started topping this with Stella & Chewy’s freeze dried Rabbit morsels and he went NUTS! Giving it a four star rating because it’s extremely expensive for only 3 pounds.

Worked when nothing else did

Our cat diagnosed with colitis. He's a lazy cat and not subject to stress so the vet recommended a prescription Hydrolyzed Protein food. It didn't change anything for the poor guy. We tried freed-dried foods and a variety of limited ingredient foods. No dice until this one. Now his colitis symptoms are gone and we are all much happier!

Cat allergy approved

This is probably the ONE food that doesn't break out my poor immune disordered/allergy ridden kitty. This was out of stock for awhile and we were struggled to find anything to get her through the outage. I found ONE other food that changed it's formula to, guess what, chicken fat. Thank you Freely.

The best rabbit based food I’ve found yet

My cat goes nuts for this food, she was previously eating Instinct brand but she ate that only because she didn’t have any other choice and would often leave most of it uneaten and it would go stale. I bought this on a whim because her previous food was out of stock. She is going ham on this! We are on month 2 of the food and she loves it. Only thing I desperately wish is that this was sold in a bigger bag. It is quite pricey for only a bag that lasts for 1 month when I usually buy 3 months at a time. Please start selling this is bigger quantities!

All my cats love it!

I have a special kitty with severe food allergies, amongst other things. He loves this food and it excludes things he is allergic to. I've purchased a few different foods and this one will be a regular for us.

Tasty without Chicken

This was just what I needed. I have a less-than-a-year-old cat who is probably allergic to chicken already, so I tried to find something healthy without it. Both he and his younger sibling prefer this one to my previous attempt, so it all works out.

So far, so good!

My cat is super finicky, and she needs a grain free food. I supplement her wet food with this. She loved the turkey flavor but chewy is no longer carrying it. I am mixing the Rabbit flavor with the Turkey flavor gradually. So far she is eating it. I hope she will continue to eat it as I am nearly out of options. I have tried everything.

Love the rabbit

Bought this on a whim, because my boy loves the Rabbit food from Tiki after dark. Was a hit. I added just a bit to his Tiki dry food every day and he is loving it. Will be getting this again.
