Feeding Instructions

Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your dog. Food should be fed at room temperature. Fresh water should be available at all times. Refrigerate unused portion. Adults: Feed 3 cans per 10 lb of body weight.

Transition Instructions

The general idea is to slowly decrease the amount of your pets current food while increasing the amount of the new food you wish to use. For both cats and dogs, we typically recommend taking about 7-14 days to gradually transition to the new food. Every pet is different though, and some may require more time than others. As always, you and your vet know your pet best and should decide if this traditional approach to food transitioning is the right path.

    very happy

By Spencer on Sep 7, 2021

My Cavalier King Charles is allergic to everything and has digestive issues. I have used other limited ingredients or vegan food and it was much more expensive. He loves this and it’s reasonably priced compared to others.

    I like the ingredients

By JayC on Jun 5, 2021

I first bought the 5.5 oz cans and this time tried the 12.7 oz can. Same good ingredients, but the food is much harder to get out of the bigger can. And this time shipping took longer than expected so I had to go and buy other food, which I wasn't to happy about. I will purchase again because this is the type of limited ingredients my dog needs since he has food allergies.

    my dogs love this food

By Norma on May 27, 2021

It has healthy ingredients. My dogs have shiny coats and smell good. My older dog has allergies and has no allergic reactions to this food. I disagree with some saying it's difficult to get out of the can. I find it clean and easy to feed. We are an all vegan household, so great food for our furry kids.

    Had to donate

By CheandSplat on May 26, 2021

Neither our pup or older dog would touch this stuff. I don't know if it was the texture or the taste. Tried adding flavors but they wouldn't eat it.

    Why is it so hard?

    By Crazy6CatLadyWith1DogToo on Jan 17, 2021

They took great ingredients and turned them into dry Play-Doh. Every canned veg dog food is like this to some degree except for Nature's Recipe stew of course (why are they the ONLY veg stew?) I think this one is the worst - so very dry and difficult to get out of the can. Health Extension brand gets the top score - it's much softer, easy to get out of the can, and not necessary to add water though you may still want to add just a little. If Freely was any more dry, you could maybe use it for bricks to build a doghouse with.

Dogs Would Not Go Near It

By Anne on Feb 10, 2021

My two Maltese, who love to eat most vegetables, took one sniff and would not go near this food. I thought for sure they would like it since they love vegetables but sadly they did not.

    Very disappointed

By Aaaa on Mar 11, 2021

Expensive and my dog did not enjoy too much. Food does not come out of the can very easily. Will not buy again.

    My pups love this stuff

By Meredith on Jan 25, 2021

My pups devour this stuff. I wish it was a tad softer so the can was easier to clean and recycle, but the food itself seems to be a real winner.

    Dogs love it!!

By Bgrrrl on Oct 9, 2020

One dog is getting older and losing senses so we needed something that he can smell. He loves this and it wets his appetite to get him to eat his dry kibble. Our other dog is a picky eater and loves this brand as well. It is nice to have one food both of our dogs love. We are working towards transitioning to this completely and phasing out the dry kibbles.
