Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

I can’t believe I’m finding this now. Where have I been the last 20 years?! I tried I don’t know how many different litters, cheap and expensive, and could never get it right. Either they covered my house in dust, or litter sand ended up everywhere from tracking, and all of them never really handled odor control even when I scooped daily. With Fresh News, there is zero dust cloud when you pour it out, and no sand anymore all over my house from tracking. Even if I wait a day or two to scoop the box, I’m not completely overwhelmed with the smell of the litter box. This product has completely changed my life. Just wish I knew about it 20 years ago!!
We've had cats for many years and have (almost) always used clay litter which drives me crazy with the dust and tracking. Having two male kittens neutered recently, our vet suggested that until their incisions were healed, we use a litter like Yesterday's News to prevent litter from getting in or irritating the surgical site. Well, we've been using it in two of our boxes now for almost 3 weeks and we hate it. It's impossible to tell which pellets have urine on them because they don't get dark and don't clump together. This leaves the entire box smelling of pee because I can't afford to just dump two boxes out entirely every day. Also, despite the pee smell, I don't think the cats like it or use it very much because the two boxes with the usual litter are overstuffed every evening with their metabolic waste products. Our daughter say the other brand of newspaper litter works better (they use it in her vet office), but I guess that I'll stick with what we've been using for the last 10 years, ugh.
I have been using this litter since rescuing my 11-month-old tuxedo girl last year December. I tried another brand and a crumble kind instead of pellets. My cat was a feral cat but super clean. When I was getting her used to using the litter box before and after getting spayed I tried the pellets and then the crumbles. She is a super clean cat and she hated the crumbles because they tracked out of the litter box and hated the pee and poop on her paws. I switched her back to these pellets and she loves them. It doesn't track and it is super absorbent. She is also able to fully cover her business and it takes a while to smell. I am able to just grab a doggy bag and pick up the poop. I put some fresh litter every other day, sprinkle some extra baking soda, and place a training pad underneath it. I don't use as much with her as she only uses it once during the night and during the day she goes outside to do her business. I am now raising a litter of five, 5-week-old kittens and fostering two, 6-week-old rescue kittens and use this litter as well. They are learning so they make a little of a mess but for the most part this litter works great and they love playing with the pellets haha.
We have 5 cats and 2 Litter Robots, so there's a lot of poo and pee going on at our house. We rescued a 3 or 4 week old kitten a few weeks ago and she is ready to start doing her "job" now. But she is a lightweight and doesn't trigger the robot, so we set up a small box and used our regular litter to fill it. However, she wants to eat the litter, and eating clay litter is NOT a good thing. We ordered "Fresh News" to see how that would work. It's not really scoopable, as these are not small pellets, but it soaks up the urine very well. And the feces is easily removed. We haven't noticed any odors. And I am VERY happy that Choo Choo is not eating litter. Soon she'll weigh enough to join the other cats in the robot. Make that 6 cats now.
So this litter was only down for about three days, and it caused the weirdest looking white stocks of fungus to grow in the corner of the pan out of my line of vision. I am disgusted, and it smelled abhorrent. This is the worst litter I’ve tried so far very disappointing.
I always try other litters to see if i can find better odor control but nothing beats this newspaper pellet litter and yesterdays news is more tightly pressed pellets so it is less dusty.
I decided to buy this even though it was slightly more expensive, but the average rating was slightly better than the last product I tried. To my surprise, I started finding pieces of plastic when changing their litter, and when digging further into the bag, I found much more. I found what appears to be a piece of plastic bag, as well as a shred from a blue examination glove. Maybe it is a bad batch, but I have a 25lb bag that I do not feel comfortable continuing to use for my very young fosters.
The smell left with this litter was just disgusting! I scoop many times in one day & my house has NEVER smelled like cats..this litter has NO smell control...the cat smell would hit me in the face when I got close to the bathroom. I also did not like the pellets...waste of money
My cat had PU surgery and could not use clumping litter because it would stick to wound. This was great as I could tell when he peed.
When the cat litter I was buying for my cats was out of stock I wanted to try this… However, it did not have any odor control like my other cat litter and ended up costing me more in buying replacement litter… It might work for some, but did not work with my four cats.
