I have tried many litters since I adopted my first cat last year, and I do keep coming back to Fresh Step. There are some things about it I don't like but for my cats it can't seem to be beat for covering smells which is 100% the most important to me. All of the 'extreme' scents are great at this and this one smells really nice. It doesn't irritate my 4 cats (yep, from 0 to 4 in less then a year), either. One thing that is a negative is that this litter is expensive... I don't know why but I can put an entire 25# box in the litter box and need to refill it with another 3/4-1 box in a week or less. If I use a MUCH cheaper litter, like store brand, that amount of litter last a month before it needs retopping. So...something to keep in mind. I keep buying it because having a clean smelling home is important to me. If it weren't for how well it preforms in that regard I would use something cheaper. As far as dust, it is dusty when poured but not so bad when scooping. For tracking, I have litter mats around each of the litter boxes and I haven't noticed it track more or less then others. The timing was great, and I would like to order one more Fresh Step like the one I received. That should be enough for now, but will order in the Fall when my cat stays inside more. Tigger and I both like the texture and scent of Fresh Step.

excellent smell to it I have littermaid electric box and sprinkle this over the slide litter to give the box a nice smell the cat love it and the box stays fresh for a week, remember it is a self cleaning box and i truly like the box also have had one for 8 years never a problem , sometimes i put a little in my sweep so the house smell awesome , we like this litter. thanks

love this cat litter, this is a new scent and i love it, i will only use fresh step it really eliminates odors. i have friends that have switched to this brand and love it also.

Chewy packages clumping litter the right way! They wrapped the litter boxes in shrink wrap, so if your shipper is too lazy to bring the box to the covered porch, and leaves it in the driveway in the rain, you do not have a sodden mess of pseudo-concrete to return to the sender. Thank you, Chewy! I already love the actual product, calming lavender scent to keep cats mellow...

Frankie likes the rapid clumping and is pleased that the light scent doesn’t make him smell too girly. The old man has his pride.

I switched to fresh step about 3 years ago and would never go back. Recently my neighbor took care of my 2 cats and dog for 10 days. She commented several times that she never once smelled any animal odor and how she smelled lavender when entering my house.
