    Solved our litter problem

    We switched from a clumping litter to this brand as suddenly the cat was tracking litter around the house (so gross) and getting clumps in her paws. This did the trick. It can't build up in the paws so no more litter being tracked around the house. This did the trick. It can't build up in the paws so no more litter being tracked around the house. The only down side is that this litter must be stirred every day. If not, the crystals get saturated in one spot were the cat pees and the urine will puddle underneath it, then it's a real job to clean and reset the box with new litter. If you keep up with it, it works really well. Our cat is older and her habits have changed. Using the crystals has helped a lot. … more

    Decided to try a crystal litter for the first time due to allergies and the 1 month use was definitely appealing. I have 2 cats and 2 boxes, so I cleaned and sanitized one entirely and filled it with a little over 2 in of crystals. The other box I scooped clean and mixed the crystals in with the existing clay litter to see if that would help them adapt. Needless to say I think I will be finding some accidents around the house because so far the only interaction my 3 year old cat has had with his box is nibbling on the blue crystals and his 8 month old brother is following suit. It’s too late to run out and buy their usual litter or I would. I don’t think either of the cats have pica as they both are recently vetted and have never eaten litter before.
