It utilizes activated carbon to successfully neutralize litter box odors, while maintaining a pleasant environment for your furry friend. Plus, you’ll find that there are smaller, smoother particles in the box that don’t hurt sensitive paws—nor does it cause allergy-inducing dust clouds. This litter absorbs more waste and creates easy-to-scoop clumps for a litter box that lasts longer, and stronger between changes.

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii - a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
For best results, do not mix with non-clumping cat litter. For first time use, start with an empty, clean cat litter box. Fill your clean litter box with 3 to 4 inches of Fresh Step Cat Litter. Remove clumps and solids daily and dispose of in trash. Do not flush. Add more Fresh Step clumping cat litter to refresh your litter box. Maintain level of litter at 3 to 4 inches. Concentrated litter lasts longer - top it off and reset your litter box less often!*
Decided to try this litter out, as now with two cats, the clay litter we have been using would get a little smelly and need changing way more frequently, even with two litter boxes. This litter is really great - lasts a long time, no smell, and the 'clumps' don't seem to use up as much litter that gets tossed. Have seen some reviews complain about dust. It is certainly smaller particle size, but for my cats, with two top entry litter boxes, this seems to have less dust and litter tracking than the standard clay litter. And our two cats certainly approve. Have been using the new litter in one box, and the old clay litter in the other - to use up the last couple of jugs of the old stuff on hand - and both cats now use the box with the outstretch litter 90% of the time and shun the box with the clay litter.
I started using Outstretched litter a few months ago. I am happy to say it fulfilled it's promise to last longer and I don't have to change every week. I clean out the waste a couple of times a day and the litter stays fresh for two weeks or more. I have three cats and three litter boxes so I have cut my monthly cost for litter in half.
I have always used Fresh Step kitty litter but I absolutely love Outstretch! We have to keep our kitty's box in our bedroom and even if I don't get to scoop it every day there is no odor! It has allowed me to get a little lazy in this area. Sometimes I don't scoop for a few days and it still doesn't smell and I only have to change the litter every 2 to 3 weeks!
Gracie is an 11 year old Ragdoll — a large lovable ball of fluffy fur with a sensitive nose and tender paws. Fresh Step Unscenteds have always been her favorite litters — the only truly ‘unscented’ litters out there, and they never got stinky — no one ever knew we had cats! As the Unscented Fresh Step litters advanced through the years, Gracie tried them and loved them all. When we recently switched from Fresh Step Clean Paws to the Outreach formula, she clearly preferred the soft, silky texture of Outreach vs the other slightly larger harder litters; and I love how silky and easy it is to scoop! The difference in texture is very noticeable. Plus this unscented, low dust formula is their BEST YET. Noticeably better than others — no dust cloud when pouring, and less runny noses and sneezing for us both. Plus, Gracie no longer has that litter scent lingering on her coat … just a clean fluffy furball. This litter is by far their best, two paws up. Only one thing could make this product even better: Please offer it in packages of (4) 10.5 lb bags like you do for other formulas. It’d be waaay easier for us pet parents to lift :-)
As in the last 3 months................horrible. No invoice in any of the boxes. Also, one of your agents was supposedly going to put weight restricitons of 20 lbs. on the boxes since I am 82 and going in for hip replacement. That did not happen as these were the heaviest boxes ever.
This litter has lasted longer than my previous litters when it comes to smell containment and getting gross. My nose is really sensitive to litter fragrance and the unscented works well. Other unscented litters tend to start getting smelly and gross or still have some type of scent that upsets my nose. We switched over about a year ago when we went from 3 to 5 cats, and have never looked back!
While it does clump well and control odor, it is the absolute messiest litter I have ever used. The little charcoal bits are the worst and the rest of the litter isn't much better-it gets stuck in their paws and it spreads all over the house. This is not a good product to use if you have 3 cats and hate walking on cast off litter. Otherwise it does its job.
My finicky cat, only wants this litter. She will not use scented litter. Most non-scented don't control odor, this one does. So we are both happy. The only downside, it's frequently out of stock. The grocery store only seem to carry the scented version. I want odor control without perfumes. Why is that so hard?
You are suppose to have notes on my shipping labels to place all orders on the front porch by the door, not by the garage doors which sits in alley. It must be on the labels. Anyone can come thru alley and stop and steal my orders. Thank you
I wasn’t happy with the litter I was using in the past and opted for another switch in brands. I actually had to because my previous litter was out of stock so it was a blessing In disguise. I saw this New litter by Fresh Step and thought I’d give it a try because I now have five cats and wanted to maximize the litter. This litter clumps extremely well, has less noticeable dust that flies through the air as you sift, and appears to actually keep the boxes cleaner, longer. I feel like I’m cleaning even faster as well which is why it has made scooping a more enjoyable experience in the caring of my cats!
