I got the Ivory colored one and it is just the right size to keep by my work setup at home! The scratching post legs are very useful, and the fluffy material is decently soft. It took me about 5 minutes to put together (I suggest using gloves because the sisal is quite prickly)! One potential downside is the elastic string attaching the pom-pom balls could easily be torn apart by eager kittens, so having sturdier or replacement options would be great!
Bought to replace a similar looking one that had been outside on our covered porch for years. Easy to assemble and sturdy for our 11 pound cat. Hammock portion fits 11 pound cat perfectly.... not sure that larger cat would be comfy
We got this for our young ginger tabby, who is in a pen as she and our older cat adjust and we get the house kitten proofed. She took to it immediately - started sniffing it at once, then started scratching the post and within 15 minutes was in the hammock. She is now in it constantly. She absolutely loves this item. So simple, yet perfect.
Was very easy to put together. Cats both started scratching immediately. Seems to tip when my big boy (14lbs) starts scratching it like crazy. But the hammock seems to hold him just fine. The only weird thing was that there were some (what looked like) dried up orange peels inside the big plastic bag that held everything. ?
My cat likes being in divots, like between my legs over a blanket. So this hammock shape/feel is perfect for her, and she took to it instantly- no need to add catnip! She likes the scratching posts and it's a good size when you just want a spot for your buddy to snooze in a room with you. I ended up buying a second one to put in her cage!
Atticus loves to lounge and nap on his hammock. He also likes to pose like a kitten, even though he's 11 years old. He loves to scratch berber, but we haven't seen him scratch these hammock posts yet. Maybe they're not tall enough.
Sandy loves her new "nest". It's the perfect height for the window, so she has a "front row" perch for all the outdoor activities. She did manage to get the two dangle balls off the side, but still plays with them. And the scratching posts were used immediately. Easy to put together.
My cat loves this cat tree. I have it next to my desk and she hangs out in it all day. She loves it so much, that I call it her nest. It was very easy to put together. She also has been using the scratching posts more than the other post I have for her, which is a huge bonus!
I just purchased two more of these. I've had one for over a year that my cat absolutely loves to sit in and nap. She's used it so much to scratch on the top part that all of the thistle is coming off that's the reason for a new one. Very simple to put together. She's a larger cat. Part Maine Coon but she still lays comfortably on it. She even plays with the balls that are attached. The second one I'm putting in my bedroom by my bed and the window so she has another place to chill.
Perfect size for small cottage. Easy to assemble, save the wrench so you can invert the scratching posts. Basket can hold toys if cat outgrows it as a lounging space. Great product and value.
