Disappointed
No idea why, but none of my (16) cats will jump into the top part of these (I bought two). I have one upstairs, one downstairs - they scratch on it, they lie in the bottom part, but no one jumps into the sling. I've tried moving it to different locations - doesn't make a difference. I see tons of pictures of cats lounging in them - anyone who has a suggestion should share it with me! Even catnip toys didn't coax them onto it. I've added a throw pillow to each so they can see the top - so far, no takers. I'm very disappointed.
Perfect Size
As soon as I set this up, my cat, Twiggy, immediately started scratching the posts and playing with the dangle toys. She's now curled up and napping in the hammock. It was super easy to install and the perfect size to fit in a corner of your room without taking up too much space. I have mine next to a bench so when I sit on the bench she is the perfect height in the hammock to pet. The material is super soft and the base seems heavy and sturdy unlike other scratch posts/towers I've gotten before. Highly recommend!
String/Ball Very Dangerous
This is a very nice hammock/scratcher and my cat loves it. HOWEVER, last night he chewed one of the strings/balls off, tore the ball apart, and ingested the string. Thankfully, it passed but this could have been deadly for sure. I cut the other ball off right away. Again, very nice hammock, but if you are purchasing this item, please cut off the fuzzy balls that are on it. Not safe at all.
Perfect height, cat loves it
I don't remember where I first got one of these, but my cat is an aggressive scratcher and loves sleeping in his bowl that after a few years, it was time for a replacement. This one was excatly like my other and he loved it immediately. I saw there were two height options and I opted for the shorter one which ended up being the exact height of the old one and perfect for my tri-pod cat to jump into. A+
My cats love it!!
My cats love spending their time in it and spend most of their day sleeping too lol. I just wish the furry was wasn’t rough like? It’s not an uncomfortable kind of rough but the kind of roughness that you feel when you rub your teeth on a blanket, if you know that feeling you know lol but overall my cats love it!!
Perfect Space-Saver!!
I recently acquired a 12+ pound cat, and she loves this hammock and scratching post combo. It's not very tall, but that's fine with her. She likes playing with the dangling balls while lying down as well. I got the all-white one, and love the way it looks. We have it in our bedroom, but it would be pretty in the living room too.
Cute, fuzzy, scratchy and sturdy!
Inexpensive and couldn’t be easier to assemble. You won’t even need the instructions. We have 5 cats.. and they’re all taking diff amounts of time to get used to these, as you’d expect. Your cat may or may not enjoy it — but that isn’t the fault of the product, that’s just personal preference. We all have it. Our cats wouldn’t use these in front of the window (even to watch the bird feeders) but they like them next to the couch and chair. Go figure. So that’s where they’ll stay for now. Anyway, these are adorable, inexpensive and should be easy to repair (as sisal ropes always break over time) or recover later too if you have even minimal DIY skills. We totally recommend, esp at the 3/$60 price tag that we paid. (Bippy is a tiny girl and she fits with tons of room to spare. Our largest tall and lengthy cat hasn’t figured out the hammock yet but she also totally fits.)
Great cat hammock
My cats first cat tree when they were little had a hammock arm. Well as my boys grew the arm broke. Gave this a try and my 14 lb boy fits great and holds up for him. My cats take turns using it and love it. Gave one to my son for my grandcats and they love it as well.
great lil hammock
I ordered this because the previous hammock I had for my kitties was getting a little weathered. It was about a year and a half old and the sisal rope was about half off and left a shredded mess all over the hardwood floors daily. Almost a sisal dust that was leaving me with despair. I was a little leery of ordering this since people commented it was shallow. And it is, but my fluffy boy fits perfect. I ordered the cheetah- I swear he likes it lol. I’ve attached a picture of him scorning it and sleeping next to it. He’s 12 lbs of fluff. Since I also have momma kitty, I ordered the exact same thing that could come next day (sorry Chewy!) and I do have a picture so you can see him in it for size comparison. They don’t last forever but what do you expect for the price? I’d say a year to year and a half is perfect for this. It starts looking raggedy after that if they scratch it a lot anyway. Kitty recommends!! (He really does. He’s just being a brat!)
Purrfect nap hammock
A Christmas gift for our two kitties. It came with all the tools for easy assembly. It is sturdy and well-made. The faux fur is unbelievably soft. Because our 6 yr old orange tabby (13 lbs) fits snuggly when he's curled up, they will have to share since both won't fit at the same time. This is our second Frisco brand product and we're very pleased with the quality.
