    I was hesitant to purchase this after reading a few negative reviews, but went for it regardless. I'm super glad I did, this scratching post is purrfect for my kitties, they love it! This thing is built very sturdy, and can handle any rough and tumble kitty. My younger cat runs and jumps on it full I was hesitant to purchase this after reading a few negative reviews, but went for it regardless. My younger cat runs and jumps on it full speed, hanging on it with all fours, she loves this scratching post!     Nice Height, but....

    My cats won't use it. It was supposed to be one of their Christmas gifts. I thought they would like the extra height. My other scratching post is shorter and has a different rope material, and my cats love that one. The new one has a strong odor of newness to it. I sprinkled and sprayed catnip on My cats won't use it. It was supposed to be one of their Christmas gifts. I thought they would like the extra height. My other scratching post is shorter and has a different rope material, and my cats love that one. The new one has a strong odor of newness to it. I sprinkled and sprayed catnip on it. My cats still won't use it. The smell of newness will eventually dissipate. I'll continue to do the tricks to lure my cats to their new scratching post. Meanwhile, it does look nice in a corner in my living room. … more
