    Better than rope

    This post is awesome! I have a full grown cat, and a kitten and they love to scratch on this post and play on and around it! I think the sisal mat is more durable than rope, and it doesn’t shed after vigorous use!! It will probably last me 4-5 years before I replace it. If you have a scratching cat, This post is awesome!     So-So, depending on your cat

    Depending on your cat's preferences, this may work out great. It's tall and relatively sturdy. Unfortunately, my cat ignores the post and ONLY scratches on the base at the bottom. The fur (or whatever material it is) probably wasn't intended to be the main focus of the scratching, and started to come Depending on your cat's preferences, this may work out great. The fur (or whatever material it is) probably wasn't intended to be the main focus of the scratching, and started to come off after only a few months. Since then, bits of it get scattered around the floor and even occasionally get stuck on her claws. Not exactly ideal. So, if your cat digs the post, it'll probably work out great for you. If your cat is like mine and decides to be a scratching rebel, maybe not so much. … more
