Sometimes, all a kitty needs is a place to scratch, stretch and play. This heavy-duty cat scratching post from Frisco by Chewy gives them just that! It’s wrapped with sisal rope that provides a satisfying place to get out their scratching urges and keep their nails healthy. It’s 35 inches tall, as well, to give them lots of vertical space to hold on and get a good stretch. Plus, on top, there’s a dangly pom-pom toy attached to bat, swat and bite when it’s time for a little play. Available in a lighter, neutral gray and a dark charcoal, this scratching post also looks great alongside the rest of your home décor.

This scratching post has my three cats continually fascinated. Pippin at 16 pounds cannot climb onto post, but he enjoys clawing it with a look of wildness in his eyes. Mei-Ling and Josephine while fully adult are small enough that they can jump onto scratch post and "walk" around entire post. This item was very easy to put together and took me about 15 minutes. I plan to buy another one of these after the holidays because I have already purchased two cat trees to replace the ones that are worn out. I am very impressed with the Frisco brand. I was sceptical about the ease of putting scratching post together due to past experience with other brands.
Got this Heavy Duty Sisal Cat Scratching Post almost 2 months ago and my large foster cat enjoyed it right away. She uses it all he time and it's tall enough for a good stretch. She's not that interested in the ball that's attached at the top, but I'd think some cats would be. It was very easy to put together, and is quite sturdy. I'm very happy with this purchase
I was worried that this wouldn't be sturdy enough for my newly adopted chunk of a kitty. He's not fat, just BIG! At 12 pounds, when he stretches full out against the wall, he's got to cover 3 feet at least from floor to the tip of his front toes. He's a solid black short hair and as far as I can tell there's not a drop of Maine coon or Norwegian forest in him. I was at a loss trying to find something that would stand up to his size. When I read the description for this one, I decided to give it a try. It was a cinch to put together in less than 5 minutes and it's sturdy as heck. The rope is a little scratchy but that's good for the cat, not so much for my fingers. Now, if he ever actually uses it I'll up the rating to 5 stars but it might take a while. Even though he's Rottweiler sized, he's a bit of a nervous Nellie. It's understandable as he's been shuttled around from owner to shelter to foster and then home, here. Oh, one thing, this does take up a lot of real estate.
I have purchased three or four of these because of their height giving my cats a chance to stretch. Tonight I heard a cat screaming and ran to see why and saw that the gray ball string was wrapped around his paw and he was stuck. Thank God I wasn’t at work when this happened, my husband and I were close by and while it was hard to yank the ball off to free my little guy, it still hurt him pretty badly. While none of my older cats have experienced this, this guy is only a year old and it happened. I hate to think what would’ve happened if I had been at work. Please make this a disclaimer. Maybe the ball isn’t a good idea, I love the scratching post, but maybe the ball isn’t the best.
This is a great scratching post! Sturdier than I’d anticipated and tall enough for my cats to crawl up to get a toy I leave at the top. It was super easy to assemble, too. The only drawback is the attached mouse, which they aren’t at all interested in.
We got our order for the scratching post yesterday. Put it together today. One of my cats didn’t waste any time scratching her claws on it plus climbing to the top. It’s made very sturdy and will not move even on carpet when they stretch up and scratch the full length of their bodies. It is definitely a good quality item. Will definitely buy again in the future.
Our 10 month old kittens absolutely love this scratch pole! They love jumping on top of it and climbing it. Our kittens are now over 11 pounds each and they both are scratching on it at the same time. Our kitten Raven is spectacular balancing on top of this scratch pole! So glad we bought this.
Nibbles love her new scratching post. She stretches and scratches at the same time. She loves to climb it and play with the ball on top. Both cats like it, but Nibbles is on top of the world playing with it. I like it because it is sturdy, well made and easy to put together.
Nice and tall for a good kitty stretch. With 4 cats this post lasted about 1 1/2 years and now we have a new one. A very good investment. I ordered one for my good cat lady friend for Christmas last year.
My cat Marnie loves this scratching post :) It has saved mucho furniture corners. I think the height is the key; she can stretch and still not run out of space to dig in those claws.
