I just adopted a one year old kitty and wanted this cat tree-condo to sit near the sliding glass door where she can see the world of birds in my back yard. She loves it. I just adopted a one year old kitty and wanted this cat tree-condo to sit near the sliding glass door where she can see the world of birds in my back yard. She loves it. (I played her toy on string all over it to get her acquainted with it as hers.) I got the dark blue one. She's a small cat, so the shelf with the edges fits her perfectly. (the camera angle makes the shelf look small, but she curls up on it with room to spare.) I rearranged the shelves and actually decided not to use the flat shelf; just the one with edges because of the location the tree sits in and I put it on the lower pole. On the higher pole, I topped the screw head with a tennis ball I cut a hole in, so it wouldn't show. So if one shelf wears out, I'll just switch it out for the other. our active 7 mo. long leg , cat loves to jump, the height is good, loves to scratch on the poles, not on the scratching pad. she loved to play with the hanging ball. it last less than 1wk, till it came off, found next morning with stuffing out. the 2 levels, could be much better designed. they are our active 7 mo. long leg , cat loves to jump, the height is good, loves to scratch on the poles, not on the scratching pad. she loved to play with the hanging ball. it last less than 1wk, till it came off, found next morning with stuffing out. the 2 levels, could be much better designed. they are both too small to lay on for our 6# cat. she sits on them, & wants & roll on top layer, has fallen off many times. the ledge in front of closed box house looks cute, again too small, & not adequate for room to balance to jump to next level. my cat jumps from floor to 1st flat level as no room to balance in front of box, the box is small, yes i know some cat like to sleep curled up, but too small for my cat. the tree is sturdy, but all square edges of the pressed wood are very sharp, the fabric covering is thin & no padding underneath. I plan to take wood layers off & attach a larger piece to make larger for cat to lay on. don't know how a large breed cat , or adult cat would have room to play or lay ? only 1 star as I'm going to have to redo much of it … more
