sturdy and soft
I bought this exact tower for my cat (14lbs now) back in 2018. It was brown and lasted me a good 6 years before it was starting to really rip and lean and become unstable. I just got my cat a brand new one (pictured) and I have to say, this tower has improved. It’s much softer and more study than the old one. I can tell they changed up how they built it. I love the color and my cat demonstrated her muscle memory. As soon as I finished, she scaled this thing (which is taller than me mind you) in seconds. She loves it. Maybe the labeling of screws could be improved though. Totally worth the price though and it does not take long to assemble. It’s a little more wobbly than expected, and I’m not sure I can hook this to my wall because I rent lol.
Very Disappointed
Frisco is one of my favorite brands to buy from on Chewy. I’ve never had issues with any products I’ve purchased from them until this cat tree. It took me a bit to actually assemble it. Once it was up, everything was great for about 2-3 months. I’ve noticed the fabric on the cat tree/platforms has lifted halfway and that’s not something I can fix easily. My cats love it (and still do), however I’ve had to take one of the platforms off, because it was very wobbly and loose and wouldn’t tighten. Once i realized it wouldn’t tighten, I took a closer look and the platform is broken, and there’s no way to fix it. I’m glad none of my cats got hurt. I was excited to have a really big cat tree since I live in an apartment and want my cats to be able to have fun and have space to play. But unfortunately I don’t recommend this cat tree to anyone. Especially not the black color, the entire thing sheds constantly.
DANGEROUS - DO NOT BUY
I've had this cat tree for about a year and a half, and over time, two of the platforms began to rock as my two cats sat on them and tussled. Then tonight the highest platform fell right off the tree. I took the other loose platform down immediately, and then I took this picture. Thankfully, my cats weren't hurt, but I'm worried about cats in other homes that have this kind of tree. It seems dangerous to me, and as you can see from the pic, the post is really just a hollow cardboard tube. No wonder it fell apart. I do love Chewy, and I'm normally very happy with their products. I'm also very happy with their customer service - including the service I received tonight when I called about this issue. I'd recommend Chewy to anyone, but I absolutely do not recommend this cat tree.
My cats are thrilled!
I love this tree, it looks good and was easy-ish to put together, although time-consuming. (In all fairness, I have plenty of experience assembling furniture, the instructions are terrible but it's not too difficult to figure out) It fits perfectly in front of the cats' favorite window. It is tall enough and has enough seats that they no longer fight for a view of the yard. My girl is thrilled to be able to look down on us all now and loves the hanging toys. My boy is a clumsy 20 lb beast and has no trouble navigating the perches and plenty of room for the top for him to curl up for a nap. It's too new to see how well the scratchers will hold up to their over-zealous nails, but so far they aren't showing signs of wear.
Easy to put together, good value
This was easy for me to put together and the little kitty that claimed us was super eager to help me out. It's a great price and exactly the quality I would expect for this price point. Maybe I'll eventually splurge on something nicer, but for now this keeps our kitten happy and putting it together was pretty straightforward.
Wobbly Cat Tree
I wish I could say I liked this cat tree. I had a Frisco cat tree previously that lasted me 5 years with 5 cats. The quality of this tree however is not the same. One post broke immediately and looked to be made of cheap cardboard inside and then another post broke within 2 weeks of use. Chewy tried sending me a new one but I have the same issue with this one. On top of it, the structure of the cat tree is very wobbly and it shakes with one cat's weight. Both the original and the replacement had the same issue. I would not recommend this specific cat tree.
Hope it lasts, it's well built and sturdy
This tree had lots of parts and I needed a metric ruler to identify which bolt to use where. The pieces were clearly marked. It weighs about 55 lbs which makes it very stable but it includes a piece of hardware to attach it to a wall if needed. I don't know if the sisal twine wrapped around the posts, but I suppose I can replace it if necessary. The covering is short fuzzy fabric, again I hope it survives.
Awesome tree
I love this cat tree because my 3 cat companions absolutely love this cat tree! This Frisco cat tree and condo is the perfect size for my cat companions to play on, perfect for sleeping on, and perfect for my cat companions to look out the window and enjoy cat TV.
Cat not happy
My cat is 8 years old and she won't go near it. I've sprayed with catnip which she enjoys when sprayed on toys and I've purchased toys from the same company and she goes crazy with them. For some odd reason she will not go near this even after changing it to different places in the room. I purchased this due to all the positive reviews I guess you can't always do that? Also it does take an hour or longer to put together and the instructions are right on the money if you follow closely you'll have a large sturdy well made cat tree/condo. Although one corner on the smaller condo the material is lifted I'll attach photo. If you're cat likes this type of thing and your looking for a new one I would highly recommend since it's of good quality.
