    cat's favorite thing!

By jojo on Nov 5, 2021

I bought this about 8 months ago and it is my cat's favorite thing in the world! If you can't drill into your apartment walls like we can't, then this is a must have!! She's a climber so she's constantly sticking her nails into it and there's signs of wear so far. It wobbles when she plays on it, but I bought this about 8 months ago and it is my cat's favorite thing in the world! If you can't drill into your apartment walls like we can't, then this is a must have!! She's a climber so she's constantly sticking her nails into it and there's signs of wear so far. It wobbles when she plays on it, but I can see that the plastic part at the top doesn't actually move when the middle wobbles and is overall secure. I ousted the parts to the patio for 3 days Pluses: 1) Price was excellent. 2) The cats enjoy it. 3 )It was relatively easy to assemble. Minuses: 1) There was so much plastic-industrial vapor coming out of the components that I choked from the air - even with the windows open - after a few minutes. I ousted the parts to the patio for 3 days and even after that it was still enough to get me coughing. It took a couple of weeks and an air purifier to get the smell to the point where I could tolerate it. 2) The top surface of the tower and my popcorn-style stucco ceiling did not work well together - the tower slides away from anything like an upright position every single time a cat jumps onto it. Within a few days the top's about a foot away from where I put it. I've tightened all the joints but no success. I think the only way to get it to stay vertical would be to drill holes in the ceiling and the top piece and put a long, thick bolt in a few inches off from center. … more
