Temperature fluctuated in 1 corner from 77 to 79 degrees. The rest of the pad did not feel warm. Pet temps are usually 100-102 degrees. Not recommend for arthritic pets. I know I cant get into a 79 degree pool and get any benefit from it other than shivering. Chewy sent me a return label. The instructions that came with it say on high 79 degrees. This is not mentioned on the website. If so I would not have purchased.
This is the best pet bed I’ve found. Unlike the K&H, it has an adjustable timer and a cover with a bolster. However, minus 1 star because there are minor things I’d change about this- 1. Different color cover. Gray would look so much better. I’ve had it for a week and my cat uses it everyday. The dust and fur looks noticeable! 2. Intermediate sizing between the 18” and 24”. I got this for my geriatric 8 pound cat. She fits perfectly when snuggled up, but there isn’t really room for her to sprawl out when she gets in deep sleep. I ordered the next size up and it’s way too big :( if you have a cat bigger than 10 lbs and likes to stretch out in their sleep, size up to the 24” bed Overall, I think it is perfect for my cat! We will be using this everyday
This pad was great for the first few weeks. Then I noticed that even though the timer and the heating settings were both "on", the bed was not warm at all. I tried using different heating and timer settings, but that didn't fix the problem. If I disconnected and then reconnected the bed, sometimes it would warm up for a short period of time, but it would consistently stop heating long before the timer had turned off. I finally stopped using it as I didn't think the timer and heat setting controls were reliable at all.
This is truly one of the best purchases I have EVER made for my little Italian Greyhound, Timmy. Timmy is always cold, and no cozy bed or blanket has ever satisfied him, until this. I had noticed that whenever I had my own personal heating pad out that he would steal it, so I came to Chewy.com to see if they had one made for a dog. I purchased this, and he lays on it every single day! I actually don't use it in his crate at night, but rather on the couch or on top of his memory foam bed during the day. He loves it so much, that I actually need to coax him out of it to go potty outside sometimes, otherwise, he would just stay cozied up to it. All in all, a great purchase!
I have not yet reached out to the company but I order this March 16 and June 17 I noticed it was not getting warm anymore. :-(
I ordered this rather expensive heated pad for my 15 year old kitty who is getting a bit arthritic. She absolutely loved it from the first time she laid on it. I would set the timer to stay on for 4 hours at a time and would check the temperature after a few minutes to see if it was warming and also wasn't too warm. After about 3 weeks it quit warming. I have tried different temperature setting and run times but it will not heat up. The little light comes on so it is getting power to the switch - just no heat to the pad. Over $50 for 3 weeks of use! I am considering ordering a replacement of a different brand. I thought the expensive one would have been of good quality.
Order 18 inches for our chihuahua. Entire bed measures 16 inches of which 7 inch inches is border which is not heated. Heating pad only measured 10 x 6 inches Super rip off Order big! Chewy replaced with slight charge but manufacture is obviously trying to get away with things.
My girl loves this! I don’t use it in her crate but on top of a twin bed and she sleeps on the pad. It’s soft and her arthritis was better immediately!
I am not sure what I was expecting when I got this. It is perfect for my smallest dog right now since he is a puppy. I got it knowing that he would outgrow it but wanted something to help keep him warm. The house is usually cool and with winter it gets even colder. The only problem is I can barely ever tell if it is heating up or not when I turn it on. The timer function does work well so it shuts off at the right times. However, I have tried it on both the high and low heat settings and can not tell a difference. My dog does not seem to care either way if it is on or off either. He will sleep in it which is a good thing. So instead of relying on the heating part, I just put a blanket in it.
I ordered this heated bed pad for my 18-year-old Chihuahua and I am so glad that I did! I placed it under his bed and it heats up the sleeping surface just enough to be comfortable yet not so much that I worry if he's too hot. Please get this for your four-legged friend!
