For the best fit, match the below dimensions to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

Length: With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.

Could be better, could be worse...
By Rebecca on Jan 13, 2021
I really want to give these boots a higher score... They are super quick & easy to put on which helps when you're in a rush. They are mostly anti-slip. However, my dog is nearly 13, which is an age where he starts dragging his feet a little, so the material is already peeling away. The velcro is directly where his dewclaws are, so I'm sure that's not a comfortable sensation when tightened. Thankfully there are drawstrings at the top of the boots which helps keep snow out. The previous boots I had were hard-bottomed and difficult to put on and would always fall off; which is why I purchased these as replacements. Overall I would say these are great. Given every dog's paws are a bit different, maybe others won't have the issues we're having. My dog is a boxer mix (approx. 57lbs) and I bought a large based on the sizing recommendation, and they fit great minus where the velcro hits the dewclaws. I like the boots and my dog didn't seem to like them, but will tolerate when necessary (salted walkways). … more

Not the best
By Casey on Jan 8, 2021
This was the first set of boots I got for my cold intolerant dog to use during winter in Michigan. It took a while to condition him to them but I think the main issue is how they are constructed. Now that we've gone through the process of him wearing them and I can see how they fit, I think a hard rubber soled boot would fit a dog best. He is around 50 pounds. I measured several times and the pair we got were pretty big in the feet area. You have to REALLY tighten them so they don't fall off! With that said, he is still wearing them while we wait for the new ones. They aren't unusable, just not the best.

well made but dog doesn't like them
By jessm on Jan 8, 2021
I bought these for my shitzu mix to use while out doing his business in the winter time. We have tried many different types of boots and he really doesn't like any of them, but for the little time I ask him to wear them he puts up with it. I did have to make sure they were tight around his legs otherwise he could easily slip them off. But they are well made and I can tell they will be durable and not being getting holes in the bottoms as we have had with other brands.

HMMMMMMMMM
By BernerMom on Dec 7, 2020
So, I got these for my Bernese Mtn Dog last year and he wore them several times in rain and mud. I put them in a lingerie bag and dropped them in a modern washer. I washed them in cool water on the delicate cycle. They fell apart. When I bought them they were on sale. BUT, I think about all the work that went into their production and then shipping them to the US and then shipping them to me and realize they are NOT worth it bcuz of that. That being said WE LOVE CHEWY!!!

Not Quality
By Victoria on Dec 18, 2020
I just took my dog for her first walk in these boots. They stayed on, but the front part of 2/4 boots are fraying and one has a small hole. It was only a 1 mile walk, I guess my dog should pick her feet up better but these did not hold up. Now I'm wishing I would've gone with a more expensive/higher quality boot.

Not for small/light weight breeds
By Katie on Nov 29, 2020
Even though I utilized the size chart, I still found the size 1 (the smallest available) to be wayyyyyy too big on my Pomeranian. It’s not just the fit, but also the material of the shoe. It’s very, very stiff so you would need a heavier dog for the shoe to lay flat on the ground. With that being said, if you have a dog with bigger paws that is light weight, I would imagine this would pose as a problem since the shoes need a good weight to be comfortable for the dog. These shoes do seem to be quite durable and well made aside from that. I’m pretty sad about them not working out.

Upper part way to small
By Jazz on Jan 7, 2021
These are great booties BUT WAY TO TIGHT and SMALL on the top, I have a Yorkie and could not even get her paw through that part into the bootie.... So bummed, even went a size bigger originally. Chewy is great and I got a refund and will be donating to a smaller doggy at a shelter.

Too stiff, not good for dogs with dewy claws
By Rebecca on Dec 1, 2020 Top 500 Contributor
This was on sale so I thought I'd get it before the snow really falls.. Unfortunately the materials are too stiff and not constructed to fit a dog's feet. Especially dogs with dewy claws. My dog's been wearing shoes every single day for the past 4 years so it's not because he doesn't like shoes. He does well with other brands but with these, he kept limping and I can see that his dewy claws and "ankles" were hurting so contacted Chewy and they took care of us right away!

Sizing Issue
By Wandana on Dec 30, 2020
We were really looking forward to these for our PWD, unfortunately using the sizing chart they were way too small for his large paws. Looked like they were well made and will be donating them as recommended by Chewy.

Disappointed
By Bunzee on Jan 8, 2021
Ordered these boots for our dog, when we received them, they seemed smaller than anticipated. Since there was a sticker on package stating that they were “as is”! Don’t buy these for your dog!! Look for something else.
