What is the toy made out of? It says dense foam, but what is that?

This toy is made from expanded foam rubber and is covered in plush fabric. The expanded foam rubber is dense and heavy, making this toy great for tossing around the house for your dog to play with.

Not the quality I expect of chewy or from reading the reviews. My pup is no master chewer but the egg and bacon didn’t last 1 hour from the cheap fabric and foam bits got everywhere - including swallowed. Fabric if the sausage is much more durable.

Toys for small dogs

The toys were larger then expected. On line it shows this for a small breed dog. These are more for a medium size dog

The smelliest toys ever

Unfortunately, I made a mistake and didn't read the description well enough because my dog destroyed them immediately. These are made out of foam and they smell awful. Seriously, they leave your hand smelling after handling them.

They’re okay but not for tough chewers

Blaze loved tossing these around and it was very cute to watch him eat breakfast. They didn’t last as long as I thought, the sausage links lasted the shortest amount of time and blaze was eating at the foam and squeakers. Probably better for smaller dogs or softer chewers.

These are foam and very smelly!

Terrible toy for my dog, I threw them away as soon as I got them because they are foam and my dog would have just destroyed them right away. And the smell of them was awful. I would never give my dog this type of toy. I will make sure to read the description more throughly next time.

Surprisingly great

I thought these would be tiny but they're great for medium or large dogs. Very durable so far. My dogs typically destroy every toy they get in minutes but these have made it 10 hrs so I will probably but more

Dog Loved These

They are a dense foam and I had no idea if my Golden would like them so I gave them a try - she loves them. She mouths them and carries them! They are a little too dense to play toss but good for indoor fetch. She likes to gnaw on them and no damage for a medium chewer. Washed in machines without a problem.

Hold up pretty well for the price

I like the dense foam, they are nice and heavy for bigger dogs, and a lot less fragile than stuffed toys. Two of our labs have been wrestling over the linked sausages for several minutes and they haven’t destroyed them yet.

Very thick and heavy

These toys are odd. They feel like they have weights in them and they are very firm. I have no idea what is in them but I think I'll use them to work out with. My beagle puppy doesn't like them because they are too heavy and big to carry around. Maybe a big dog would like them but I don't recommend them for medium to small dogs.

Good product for non aggressive chewers

The product itself is overall durable and well made. My only compliant is it takes super human strength to get these things squeak. They are very dense so I had hope they would endure. They are larger than they seem so prob not for tiny mouths and certainly not for destructive chewers. My babies loves them while they lasted but they didn’t make 24 hours. The toys are cute and were very popular. If you have a dog that is a head shaker the sausage is like an amusement ride for them as it flings about and seems to be fighting back.
