Great bone for tough chewer
My dog loves this bone! Easy for her to hold and chew on and it is tough enough so she doesn't destroy it. Many other bones/toys she tears apart or break pieces from as soon as she gets them and I must take them away. This bone is a great choice and I would buy it again.
Not so good
We got these for our German Shephard girls to chew on for when they need to relax before bed. They are super herd and have no smell of bacon at all. The girls did not like them, and neither did my Great Dane when I let him try one. Had to throw them away.
Jumbo Size (Too big)
I was looking for new chewer options for my 13 & 16 lb Havanese doggies. Even though it’s “small” this is too large for either of their mouths. Bummer.
These are new for my dogs, at first they were confused but now they love them. These keep them occupied throughout the day with their other toys. It is a nice addition to their mess of toys.
Just check size
I have a chewer so I thought this would be the answer. When it arrived it is huge, heavy, and very hard. My dog is 17 pounds so I must have needed a smaller size. This is definitely for a big dog.
Must smell good!
I bought this for a lab pup and he seemed to really like it. However the ends get sharp very easily due to the shape so it’s best to watch them closely with it!
My boys favorite
It’s hard to find a bone my bully likes chewing on. This one is a absolute win! It’s lasted almost 3 months! Which is a long time for anyone who has pit bulls and American bullies!
Good but not great
This was mildly note successful than the Nylabone one. My puppy has chewed on this some but not a lot. I wouldn’t say it’s a total bust but won’t buy it again.
Another paws down
I've been trying various chews since Petstages told me (upon inquiry) that their Elkridge antler is discontinued. So far nothing has generated much interest in any of my 3 dogs. My dog Rosey has anxiety and compulsion behaviors, and gnawing on the Elkridge was the only thing which helped her to self-soothe. My two other dogs also were huge fans of the Elkridge, and neither of them are interested in any of the products I've tried as replacements. I'm desperately hoping Chewy reads this, and uses their buying power to influence Petstages to make the Elkridge again. I've spent a fair amount of $$$ so far in failed potential replacements. I just want Rosey to have an outlet for her anxiety, it's upsetting to be unable to get the one thing which helped.
These are great bones for dogs with broken canine teeth, molars.
Our son's and our dog love these bones as our dog has a canine tooth that was broken off when we rescued her, and our grandson' s dog had the same thing as they have the points on these bones to hold and easy to chew than a regular knot bone. Our dog has all the flavors, will need to get our Son's dog the peanut butter and chicken next. Frisco made a great bone!
