Just got a new 9 month old shelter pup which had several wounds on her brisket area which she was digging at. I didn't want to put her into a collar of "shame" stressing her out even more in a new situation as she had just moved into my care. T-shirts can work out really great for after surgery & the like for getting the animal's mind off of their "issues" (I'm also a licensed Animal Behavior specialist). Tater Tot, my new pup, had gone through barbed wire prior to my getting her & she was quite torn up in several areas, the worst was her chest, or brisket area, with a wound about 3" long & 2" wide. Not being able to put a SD training vest on her until this healed & with her constantly twisting & either digging or licking it, the T-shirt was PERFECT! The wound is all but healed now & she's sporting her new vest out at stores. BTW, T-shirts are WONDERFUL at keeping the loose hair from flying off of your fur babies!
