How do u know what size to order
Answer by ChewyApr 03, 2021
To get the best fit we recommend measuring your dogs paw width and their paw length. Then match the dimensions located under the "size" tab to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

What size socks would best fit my black lab?
Answer by ChewyMar 17, 2021
To locate the sizing chart, please click the “Size” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product photos when viewed on a desk top. Sizing is based upon paw width and length. To measures paw width: With your pet's paw on the ground on top of a piece of paper, mark the left and right side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes. To measures paw length: While your pet's paw is still on the ground, mark from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the sock too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.

Are they breathable if a wound needs air?
Answer by ChewyMay 29, 2021
They are not to be used if your pet has wounded, irritated or swollen paws.

Chewy dog socks and outdoor boots

These socks and Chewy outdoor boots helped my dog so much in her last few months with us. She was able to walk around because of the socks. Thank you for designing these socks to give older dogs another chance at moving around when they get old! Sadly, our baby Susie passed away on June 14th but she wore her socks until the very last minute. They have great grips on the bottom that helped her stay on her feet on wood and tile floors. A must have for older dogs who tend to slip on wood floors.

Great until

It’s a great pair until Maximus figured out he could chew off the strap. No problem. I cut them all off. I use them as slip on socks. He has allergies so I put medication on him and put on the socks. I wish you had more. No Velcro

Size 5 more fitting for Med Size Dog

Thin knit acrylic/ poly socks with silicone dots. Size 5 socks definitely for a medium size dog. Too bad there weren't larger sizes. Used two of the four socks for my senior labrador's hind legs. Velcro tabs are snapped on, so I remove them. I hope the socks will help him with walking around on my hardwood floors without slipping and that the socks won't constrict his blood flow.

Easy on and stay on!

We use these for two purposes: 1) When our dog "eats her feet" and fixates on hot spot type things within her toes. Put on one of these socks and she mostly leaves it alone (aside from trying to take the sock off for a minute before giving up). 2) When her pads crack, we put musher's secret on and then the sock over to help moisturize her pads and keep the pad balm on the foot. They were easy to put on and stayed on very well.

Seeing that they only have up to size 4, I assumed it was the largest. I have a Labrador and the socks are for a chihuahua!. I was thinking of changing them and it turns out that now they are out of stock... It's a SCAM!!

Helps my Standard Poodle

These stay on. Wash well. Help my senior 50 pound Standard Poodle get around on my tile floors. He can jump on the couch easier. We joke about his socks making him Super Man again. He wears them on his back legs pretty much all the time now.

Way too small

So my dog has pretty Tiny Paws he's a senior he's 16 and he slips a lot. So I put a couple of yoga mats down and I thought the socks would be a good idea. First of all the lady told me a size 3 should fit him because he's only he lost a lot of weight 35 lb.. small feet ....oh my goodness.... they were the size of a chihuahua really cute socks but I mean really for a very very small dog..... I couldn't even get them over his nails. So I finally did get them up and stretch them and put the velcro around him..... they are made terrible... there's not enough of those little rubber pieces on them at all ......he was slipping and sliding like on an ice skating Pond....had no traction at all .no grip......he was sliding all over the place. . I don't know how people say these work... I guess maybe for a dog that's not elderly and has their balance .. I explained to chewy and they did immediately refund me...

Leave your feet alone

This has helped her to stop licking and keeping her feet dry and healthy. All other products I have used have been great!

Chart sizing is not accurate

The socks are useful for hardwood floors and after applying paw balm to prevent licking and slipping. However, the socks run extremely small compared to chart measurements. I ended up buying size 1 thru 4 and still the socks are too small for my pups paws.

Best gripper socks

These stay on better than any I’ve used. They fit great. My dog was slipping so much on the hardwood floors and I was afraid he’d get hurt. It didn’t take him any time to realize he walked easier on the hard wood floors with his socks on. He likes them.
