    great fun, looks good and is sturdy

    We purchased the taller post and find it to be very sturdy and tall enough for my long cat to get a good stretch when scratching. It does rock a bit when the cats are racing around and launch themselves to balance on top of it but they haven't knocked it over yet. If your cat is pretty rambunctious you might be better off with the larger one. We have had this for about 4 months now, maybe a bit longer, and the fabric that covers the padded 'dome' at the top has already been ripped. Disappointing that it didn't last longer but not surprising with the daily use it gets. I wish Frisco would sell the top part as a replacement part that you can purchase individually because the base and sisal-covered post still look new. Worth the purchase if you want a fun, decorative scratching post knowing that the fabric part won't last as long as a heavy carpet. … more

    cat scratch post- not for every cat

    my cat is not interested into this apparatus- not only did I put catnip on it but when he DID TRY TO ENGAGE in this thing---IT TOPPELS OVER! so enough times this happened he wants nothing to do with it- so it was great photography they showed the cat on the video engaging with it but also scratching my cat is not interested into this apparatus- not only did I put catnip on it but when he DID TRY TO ENGAGE in this thing---IT TOPPELS OVER! so enough times this happened he wants nothing to do with it- so it was great photography they showed the cat on the video engaging with it but also scratching the post & it doesnt topple over- whoever gets this...before having the cat having a negative experience--SECURE IT DOWN POSSIBLY TO A LARGER BOARD-even in this pic it shows it tilting almost over- also BALL STRING NEEDS TO BE LONGER-3inches doesnt do it to attract the cat … more
