Got this at the end of last winter. Just tried to use them for the 1st time (I got 2) and the zipper broke on both 1st time putting them on. Have a photo but this will not let me add.
This has a great zipper and is very puffy and definitely will keep your puppy warm. Easy to put on and easy to takeoff. Great for those cool nights.
Bought an XL for 3 yr old, lean, Pit. Chest is about 3 inches too small. Also, zipper got stuck hard while trying to take jacket off. What a debacle
I bought one for my 15 lb chiweenie and loved it so much that I had to buy another for my 16 lb dachshund. My babies are warm and cozy in these jackets, and they look so cute together in their little camo jackets. I love the design, except the zipper does snag on the material under it...The zipper once got caught so bad that I resorted to using pliers to get it undone. Needless to say, the zipper broke. Now that jacket is in the trash. So I cut the material under the zipper on the other jacket, and now it zips up just fine. Since my dogs are short hair, their hair doesn't get caught in the zipper so the missing material is not an issue. It's well worth the $10 after applying this little fix. The jacket is perfect for cold weather, light rain or snow. I'll buy another one as soon as they come back in stock, it's well worth it!
I'll start with saying I wanted something cheap for my anxious underweight pitty/husky mix. He LOVES to be outside and being outside calms his anxiety. He very much has a husky brain in that he loves the snow but unfortunately he doesn't have the hair for it. It is also very hard to find something cheap for his size. He's just under 60lbs so I took a chance on the XXL with a max weight of 60lbs. It fits exactly and if he gains any weight, it will no longer fit. So I'd say the guidelines are spot on. I did not measure him and went solely on the weight guideline. With that said, it took quite a while to get on him the first time. I think it'll get easier we he realizes this is warm and cozy. He likes to walk my daughter to/from school but we've had abnormally cold days where he has to stay home so this jacket will allow him to come with. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. It's not built the best but it's a $10 jacket vs a $50+ jacket like I was finding every where. So with that in mind, I'm a happy customer today!
Be very careful zipping up this coat; it tends to catch the material in the flap that is supposed to lie between the zipper & the dog's fur. It catches every time, usually more than once, and takes a while to get it loose from the zipper mechanism. Poor design ... the flap is stitched in right next to the zipper when it should have been set over about 1/8 or 1/4 inch. It's so annoying that I downgraded to 3 stars because of this glitch.
I have a 90lb pit named Bane, and he loves this jacket so much!! I am used to putting clothes on my pets, but others may have trouble. The zipper is a tad finicky in the sense that the fabric below it likes to get caught and stuck in the zipper a lot. It’s a lot easier with 2 people but to combat this i put his legs through then I straddle him and hold both sides shut so I have both hands to do the zipper. Velcro is way easier but this jacket looks so slick and he’s very comfortable in it! For a harness and leash I just leave it unzipped a tad so don’t worry about it not having a hole for the leash.
I have a medium sized dog but sized way up based on reviews. This is a very cute jacket but will not be buying any more apparel from the Frisco brand as I have bought different sizes and fits of jackets and sweaters and none truly fit. It is a little short on my pup but still loose. I am going to keep it as I cannot return it. I do like the material and it is adorable, just disappointed in fit
Hey there, ok for all y’all out there wondering what size to get in the little vest for your Very Very Best Friend..I ordered 2 ofem one in size medium and one in size large, plus couldn’t believe the price it was awesome..!! The medium size runs small (my yougan is 23lbs & falls into the medium size chart that is posted..) with the chest, length and width sizes .. thankfully I got a large size also and it fits her perfectly..!! Very very happy, just a little bit disappointed in having to get a medium size one & large size one..!! But it’s all good, no worries cause I’m gonna donate the medium size one to my local Humane Society..!! Lol , I might even bring home a little 4 legged puppy for my yougan to have someone else to play with..!! Please please remember if your very very best friend don’t like the new food you got them from Chewy or any where else, please donate it to your local Humane Society, even the little outfits cause they really really need & appreciate it so much..!!
I bought this for my Carin terrier and it fits him perfectly. The problem is this…there’s a piece of material under the zipper to avoid getting hair caught. Which I totally understand the reason for this. But the zipper keeps catching it and getting stuck. You have to get the dog to stand in the arm holes then pull it up and zip. Sounds easy but not so much. Maybe this should have had the zipper attached differently or under the belly area. The collar part is also to high. I can’t zipper it all the way up. It’s on top of his head almost.
