Not so good
I should have listened to the reviews. As others have stated the silicone glass bowls have a weird residue in between the silicone sleeve and the glass bowl. I am not sure what it is I have tried to clean them numerous times but it just seems off to me.
Dog bowls 2
I read an article about no longer using metal dog bowls (due to the metal poisoning it can cause) and wanted to search out glass. These were a perfect fit for my existing dog bowl holder. The film in the other reviews are from the silicone sleeve. I washed both thoroughly and the film came off. Was the silicon in hot water with dawn.
nice bowls
They are very nice bowls that come packaged very nicely so they don’t break during shipment but they are not as deep as I was expecting
Nice Bowls
I really like these bowls, just wish they were a little deeper. Like other reviews said, there is a white film on them when you receive them that is hard to get off.
Issue with Film
As other reviewers noted, there is a strange, grimy-looking film on the bottom of the glass. I did not attempt to wash it off given the lack of success others have had. Instead, I left the bowl in the packaging and arranged for return. It was suggested that I might wish to donate the bowl to a rescue organization which I will not be doing given the mysterious nature of this substance. A better idea would be for Chewy to discontinue this item until the issues are resolved. The photos seen here from other reviewers are accurate.

I bought a set of two - one for food, and one for water. The dogs like them, and so do I. Cleaning them is a breeze (5 stars right there), and I feel like the slobber biofilm comes of much easier compared to stainless steel or porcelain. They fit perfectly into my feeding stand, and are very sturdy and heavy, since the glass itself is thick - plus the silicone sleeve helps to prevent chipping! I will be buying more to rotate through while being cleaned in the dishwasher!

I love these bowls. Just got them today. They feel extremely sturdy and the outer cover really keeps the bowls from slipping. Also very easy to take on and off for cleaning. I only wish they were half and inch or even an inch deeper to hold more water. Definitely can’t hold enough water for a medium sized dog for the whole day. ALSO please make these in more colors!!
