Frisco Cinching Insulated Dog & Cat Parka, Black/Red Plaid

I received these for free to try and was very happy to as I have 2 older chihuahuas and my one has moderate to severe arthritis in his back and knees. I have been giving him these for several weeks and definitely notice a great improvement in his overall mobility. He is using his steps again to get up and down off our bed and even running. I am extremely excited to continue these and hoping to keep him as active and healthy as long as possible. Best part is he absolutely loves them and being soft is a plus as he only has 3-4 teeth. I definitely will buy more.

I bought this parka for my tweeny dachshund. I am not particularly happy with it. It was fairly expensive. The inside of the parka is nice and seems to keep my dog warm. However, the holes where my dog's front legs go are very large, much too large for him. His legs keep coming out of them while he is walking. Then the parka slides down his back and he is able to get out of it. There is a pull string along the back to keep the parka on the dog. It helps somewhat but I think would be better if it were placed an inch or two from the end of the parka near his tail.

This was the second time ordering dog apparel and I have to say probably the last time that I will order dog apparel online. I ordered a size XL because according to the size information a large would be the correct size for my dog so I went a size higher to be sure. My husband and I laughed when I opened the package. There was no way that it would come close to fitting my dog. It barely fit my sister’s dog that would wear a size medium. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

This jacket is adorable! My pup Maisie hasn't worn it outside yet since the weather hasn't made it necessary, but we tried it on inside when it arrived. Maisie is a 50 pound pit/shepherd mix and I ordered an XL. It's a bit small on her so I'm not sure if we'll be able to use it very much. I purposely ordered this size (even though the sizing chart said that her weight bracket would be an XXL). That was my fault for ordering the incorrect size. In the past I bought XXL sweaters and they were too large, but this jacket has no stretch so that's likely why it's too small. It seems water resistant on the exterior, and the fleece lined interior feels very soft and warm... Exactly as described! I love This jacket is adorable! I love that the underside of the jacket is full coverage to help keep her belly warm and protected. I think that it would do very well in snow and the material seems like it would be super easy to clean if it got dirty. The hole for the leash is just that, it would only work for a leash clipping to a collar. I hoped that it might work for a harness but it's too high on the neck. Maisie also is a bit nervous of the hood, but it has a snap that somewhat keeps the hood back if that's your intent. All in all a very cute, practical jacket! This is a solid, warm and water-resistant coat. Pros: * Good value for money. * Fit is correct, per measurement instructions. * Just warm enough, not too warm * Snap closure on chest Cons: * Step through design is not the best, especially if your dog doesn't like coats * Velcro here is nice and sticky, but overall velcro isn't great since dogs can deliberately or accidentally "surf" snow and the coat falls off * The hood is cute, but not that useful, given that this isn't really a raincoat. I will keep this one for cold days without snow or rain, but will be looking for a second coat with a belt-around design.

I needed a new coat that would cover my bebe’s naked belly and this is a great coat for that! It has wide enough leg holes that it doesn’t chafe his naked armpits, too, which is excellent. The hood is a bit of a bother: wound up permanently snapping it back & turned it inside out so it won’t flip over his head. BUT. The velcro already crapped out. We got it late November and by late December, the velcro was already worn. Now (late January) it’s taken to popping open while we’re outside, somewhat defeating the purpose. If it stayed shut, I’d recommend it but it does not. Had to buy new velcro to try & replace the faulty stuff.

Jacket is nicely made looks good but again whomever designs these for dogs is a cat person or doesn't understand how dogs work. If you are going to make holes to paws into then make them so that they stretch. Maybe make them so they attach with velcro. I have a 30lb dogs and I have to buy an XXL just to get it fit? No Thanks freaking cat lover

I absolutely love this parka. It looks adorable on Tippy. The quality is great. I would definitely recommend!

It's the cutest little jacket first of all. The amount of protection and warmth from the cold is the best part. It's lined with a super soft lining that's plaid, the outside is like the bubble jackets that everyone wears. The size chart is true. I ordered a size larger to get extra length since it was a winter coat. It was way too big. Exchanged for the correct size and fits great and has full body coverage. Great coat for cold wintery days has good under body coverage.
