Great Value for the Quality
My 80 pound golden retriever mix is 11 months old and can wreck everything around him without trying too hard. I was concerned that this extra-large dog house was not heavy enough and maybe not big enough for him. As it turns out, it's plenty large enough for him to lie down and turn around. I could fit if I tried. Good construction - the wood is grooved so the rain will stay out. Very simple to assemble - even I can't mess it up. The door can have a plastic shield to keep out the weather, but I can't use that yet. My dog will chew it up. I'll add that when he's older. I used three coats of good quality, outdoor paint so I expect it to last. The only thing I noticed is that the two floor side panels didn't have support blocks. They sent blocks for the center panel but the floor boards are a bit light for my heavy dog. I put my own blocks under the side panels, and it works great. I would definitely recommend this dog house. My husband is a carpenter, and he could not have bought the wood for the cost of this ready-made house.
Slightly Disappointed
I purchased this house to use for my dogs. I have 3 dogs that spend time outdoors/indoors. Even though it is listed as Extra Large - in my opinion it is more of a Large. I have a Mastiff and the dog barely fits inside. The floor is not sturdy at all for a 150+ dog. We had to add bracing to make it more sturdy. This is not made to be a permanent outdoor dog house solution. I do not see this house making it more than a year outside. I did not return it as I had already put the house together. It does assemble easily, the instructions are clear, it's just not suitable for what I consider Large breed dogs. This is more suited for a dog that is 50-100lbs.
I love it, but my dog doesn't
I love the way it is paintable. So, I painted before putting them together. The color looks perfect. However, the floor parts are not very stable since they have no screws to hold them together. So, it is a bit movable. That's why, when my dog went inside for the first time, she felt a bit of moving and rushed out from the dog house immediately. She has never stepped inside again even with her favorite food or toy put inside.
Disappointing
Instructions are fairly clear but some of the pre-drilled holes are useless and won’t hold including one of the “feet” and two on the roof. Plus while the middle section of the floor has bottom support the two side sections do not so with weight there is sagging and certainly opportunity for pinched paws. For this price I was expecting something more sturdy.
Not A Sturdy Product
This house lasted 3 days before the entire bottom fell out. The material was not sturdy and the wood felt flimsy. I really wanted to like this but I just feel like I wasted money as I can't send it back or get a refund for it.
Very nice!
I got the large size for my Lab puppy that I get to bring home in a week. This was so easy to put together! I had my mom hold the pieces for me and I was able to put it together very fast with no problems. This will be the perfect size for my pup as she gets older and seems like it will hold up well in this Florida weather. I plan on painting it I will definitely be adding some protection on it to help with all the rain we get.
Dogs are comfortable!
Our pups started enjoying their new large dog house immediately after we finished assembling it! We put their pillows in and they walked right in and snuggled up for a nap. We have two smaller side dogs (20 lb each) and this fits both of them comfortably without having to snuggle up. Will definitely be painting it before it goes outside as the wood feels like it wouldn’t last long without protection. Love that it’s up off the ground so it shouldn’t rot too quickly and will last longer!
It’s OKAY DOG HOUSE
It’s not really worth the price it has the cheap wood and the bottom doesn’t really have support. It’s beautiful but it wouldn’t buy again.

The most difficulty I had was it being a little too heavy for me when trying to put together. Other than that is a great house. My dog is 50 pounds and he’s fits comfortably. When summer comes he’ll probably use it more but so far good. Great quality!
Ready to paint Wood Dog House
I have purchased several dog houses made in this style. I must admit this is the best doghouse I have ever purchased. It is built with strong material; the top is made of material that will not leak. It is very sturdy I cannot say enough about this doghouse. If I could have given it ten stars I would have. The price was great. I have three small dogs and they fit in perfect. I really love this doghouse. You will not go wrong by purchasing it.
