This cost is well made and exactly as pictured. It keeps my little guy warm on our bitter cold days. I was impressed with the thickness and warmth of this coat. I would definitely recommend this coat. It fits great!
Our Moyen poodle is 25 pounds, and a large fits him perfectly! I have tried other coats and they are usually too short. I love the way it looks and a little corduroy collar makes it really look stylish.
The item is well made but I had to order a size smaller.
I purchased 2 of these for my boys. Straight out of the package, in several places, one of the coats had fabric that wasn't sewn into the binding and one strap was only partially attached. The other coat seemed fine. Chewy promptly sent a replacement for the defective one. Before I even received the replacement, the second coat was falling apart in the same way as the first. Both straps fell off after a couple of days and the green fabric on the collar was pulling out. They're only used on really cold days for potty breaks so they have not been abused during play. When I opened the replacement, the green fabric wasn't sewn completely in the binding! Not sure how they thought it was possible to stuff 5 layers of duck cloth, along with insulation and lining, into a quarter inch binding and expect it to hold? Just a bad design!
Arrived a day early-that was good news! I used the chart on the page with the coat description and the advice to order the next size up if the dog was in between sizes-we ordered the extra large based on chest size and weight. It's a little roomy but can be adjusted with the Velcro-like tabs. A little floppy in the butt but our guy is a little skinny in the butt (terrier mix, about 35 lbs, all chest and muscle). Good quality Velcro-like tabs and it is water repellent (which we've already proved), lots of space around the neck for his Invisible Fence collar-all major requirements. For the price, can't complain.
I don't know if they put starch in this or what, but this canvas fabric is much tougher and stiffer than any of the many other Frisco coats we own. In retrospect, stiff corduroy at the collar is also pretty chafing. No wonder my dog is not a fan of this one. She loves most of her Frisco coats and sweaters, and we get compliments all the time on how cute she looks in those. This one isn't terrible exactly, since a dog with thick fur might not care about how stiff the fabric is or how rough its texture. But our dog votes a firm heck no. Luckily she's got others she'll gladly wear instead, and looks great in.
I’d been eyeing a carhartt dog jacket for awhile but couldn’t pull the plug because of the price tag. My pup is spoiled but is she carhartt spoiled? Regardless - I LOVE THIS JACKET. It is the perfect material, keeps my girl warm, easy to velcro on — and my Ruby looks fabulous! I like this one better than Carhartt’s, I would buy it in multiple colors if I could!
Our Brandi loves her sweaters, fall hoodies, rain coats, winter coats etc. She always always receives numerous compliments when out for her daily walks. This canvas rain coat is very well made, love the color- like human London Fog coat, which are highly desirable. Love the pocket for extra special baggies she needs. We choose a 3X as she is 75lbs, Australian Shepherd/Brittany Spaniel Mix. She has outgrown many coats during her lifetime so far with us. This coat was just perfect.
We absolutely love this vest. I only gave it 4 stars because the fit is a bit small (even though I measured) and the Velcro straps attach just enough so that it's not constantly falling off. This vest keeps my little guy warm in light rain, light snow, and windy beaches. It's easy to shake off sand/debris and easy to clean after hikes. He also looks quite dapper. Highly recommend, just consider purchasing a size up.
When it’s cold outside my dog won’t leave the house without it. She loves it and it fits great. Little bit warmer material for her.
