Great gate

I rarely write reviews and this is just a gate, but it is actually really good! The hinges are double hinged so that really allows you to configure it or open and walk through it in a lot of different ways. Really smart to have those swivel feet at the bottom to help add extra support, and there's felt on the bottom so it doesn't scratch your wood floor. It's more sturdy and costs less than comparable folding gates. Works well for small and medium dogs and much better than a self closing gate where you have to drill holes in the wall or rely on pressure or has a bar down the middle that you trip over.

lovely and easy

The gate is very nice, lovely, the feet can be used or not, stable and easy to set up. We have kittens who can climb it so we will have to find an additional solution. Highly recommend, for light, easy, fits in different spaces.

Falling Apart

I purchased 3 of these gates just about a year ago. They started falling apart about a month after I got them one by one. The screws were just coming out of the holes. I tried to fix them in multiple different ways. Nothing worked. I think these are intended to stay in place and not be moved. However I wouldn’t recommend them at all. I did not deal with customer service, because at first it was just one screw, then a couple weeks later it was another, another couple months later another screw. Now less than a year later they are completely falling apart.

Attractive & easy to use but watch those hinges

As other reviews have noted, the hinges are the weakest feature. I had been keeping an eye on them and repeatedly tightening them but forgot for a couple weeks and the screws pulled out and the wood split slightly. The dog also managed to knock it down when it was teetering and twisted the bottom hinge. Anyway, I've repaired it and will continue to use - but also know that some dogs will be clever enough to nose it out of place. It is a lot easier than a propped baby gate and the failed retracting gate I tried that pulled out of the wall.

Disappointed

I really needed 2 gates in a hurry for our 2 new small puppies so i ordered this. I gave it 2 stars only because it’s short enough I can step over it, it looks nice and seems to built pretty well. The 3 missing stars are because it’s lattice work make great steps for a puppy wanting out. They just climb right up and over. And it’s so heavy and hard to maneuver, we just step over it instead of trying to open it. And the puppies think it’s one big chew toy which is why I can’t return them. Don’t waste your money.

Could have been 5 Stat but...

Looked great. Exactly what I needed to keep my 17 yr.old poodle safe from the stairs she can no longer see. My only complaint is the screws that hold each section were coming out when I took it out of the box. I have tried to screw them in but they will not hold.

bad hinges

Gate is heavy and sturdy however it was poorly designed. The hinges are cheap and loosely assembled. I thought I liked the gate at first but now the hinges are completely coming apart. Currently shopping a new gate as we speak. Hopefully the new gate works.

Impressed!

I am highly please with this free standing gate. It has substantial weight and sturdiness. The hinges swing in both directions making it easy to pass through it. It is very nice looking as well.
