Finally it happened...no more Wonderbox so I decided to try other brands. I used the Frisco one first. I did use two of them together because of the reviews and reading that suggestion online about another brand. If I can use the bottom one again, I will. A trick I found is to fill them with a lot of litter so nothing gets stuck on the side. So far, it seems fine. I also put the whole thing in a larger plastic box. I have litter box furniture in my condo. That helps too. I will do anything not to have to wash litter boxes!
These disposable Litter Pans are adequate. They are not as good as the Nature’s Miracle disposal litter pans, which unfortunately are no longer available. These are better than using plastic litter pan liners as two of my Cats destroy those in a matter of minutes. Using disposable litter pans inside of the plastic litter pan is the only solution that works for me and my precious Cats.
I've been pleasantly surprised at how well these litter boxes hold up. I was doubtful about them because of so many negative reviews about flimsiness and leakage, but I ordered the boxes out of desperation when Nature's Miracle and Wonderbox boxes were no longer available. And now I can't understand the negative reviews. My elderly cat has increasing kidney problems, so he urinates often and copiously, and yet I've been able to keep one of these boxes going for at least two weeks a time. Of course, I use a fairly good clumping litter, clean out whatever he's done as soon as I see it (and if I'm home, he yells for me to come and clean it out), add more litter as necessary, and keep the litter at a fairly good depth. There's been no leakage, even with the heavy flow, although sometimes the flow is heavy enough to cause clumping and sticking to the bottom of the box -- which often happened with the older and sturdier boxes as well. There was also a complaint about the label being difficult to remove from the bottom of the top pan. I agree. I've been able to remove only about 1/2 to 2/3 of that label. However, as long as I keep a good depth of litter in the box, my cat has never hurt himself on the remains or even had difficulty in pawing at the litter. So in all, I'm very pleased with these boxes, and as I get to the end of my previous order I'll be ordering them again.
I have been using disposable kitty litter trays for my cat because the sides seem to be a bit lower and since she's an older cat it's easier for her to use them. I have only used the Frisco ones since my original choice is no longer available. I change out the litter box every 3 or 4 days. What I find is that these litter boxes are very flimsy once you have any litter in it. You go to lift it from the side and it starts to break. Luckily I keep a large wee wee pad under the litter box to catch anything that my cat knocks out of the box. I will not be buying these anymore.
I like disposable litter boxes, use for a few weeks then toss. These are short though, I end up putting these inside of a larger disposable box otherwise I have litter everywhere. The larger boxes last a long time if you throw away the smaller ones before anything leaks through.
Am managing to get by. What I really need are disposable litter boxes that can stand alone without a plastic box. We presently use 9 of these throughout the house. Chewy, is there anything you can do to make these boxes more sturdy? Any way to get the formula from the other 2 companies that are no longer manufacturing them?
I have been using these for years, and use them inside a regular plastic covered litter box. This eliminates having to soak the plastic box in bleach water. I also use a plastic litter liner over the disposable one. When it is time to change the box out, I just take the disposable one out, wipe the plastic one with a disinfectant wipe and good to go, no waiting.
It is the perfect lining for my cat’s litter, so it is making it so easy to clean his litter. I don’t think that it can be used on its own, unless maybe for a very short time, but for me and my cat, it’s perfect.
I have been using the another brand of jumbo disposable litter boxes for two plus years, and they have been great. I have not been able to find them anywhere for the last couple of months and my worst fears were confirmed when I called the company and was told they will no longer be making them or the cat litter. Ugh. I tried the these disposables and was very disappointed. They leak after a week to ten days and have to be replaced. I could use the other brands box for a month with no leaking and the baking soda infused into the cardboard really helped with urine odor. Chewy needs to up their game and make disposables that are sturdier and that do not leak. As a 75 year old woman, it is much easier for me to just dispose of the entire box than try to empty a box and wash it. Come on Chewy, pay attention.
Omg do not waste your money. Extremely flimsy and will literally tear apart in your hands. If you have me luck that will happen when it’s has poop in it. Please PLEASE PLEASE bring back the other brand you used to carry. It’s a zillion times better than this brand. Total waste of money.
