Frisco Dog Crate Mat, Dark Gray

I bought 3 of these for our dogs. One of which is kind of a chewer, if he doesn't have toys. He has a thing for textures and blankets. Oof. Well, we were good for about 2 weeks then he got a hold of one of them. It was ripped open, the fluff was all over the place. I tried to mend it with some super-duper gorilla tape since it was along the side and wouldn't be visible. Meanwhile, he got ahold of the other 2, for the other two dogs. 1 of the 3 were able to be repaired (much like the first) with having about a 2-3" rip/hole... the others were destroyed beyond repair. I'm giving this 2 stars, as it served its purpose for a couple weeks, they're sturdy, they're not thin, comfortable... easy to clean I bought 3 of these for our dogs. I have a Blue Healer mix puppy who looks remarkably like the pup in the photo of this pad! She seems to prefer a solid surface for sleeping and LOVES tearing up towels, blankets, etc. But I couldn't just put her in a bare crate. This pad is somewhat firm, which she seems to find comfortable, and she can't tear it up - hasn't even tried - because of the dense weave of the fabric. We have two crates, and have this pad in both. Very happy with the purchase.

These are exactly as I had hoped. Tough enough that my dogs could not scrunch them up yet cushy enough to cradle them well. I put thin little blankets on top of the mats so that the girls could scrunch and bunch them to their hearts’ content but afterwards be laying on these mats vs. the floor of the kennel. They are sleeping super soundly on these mats.

I wanted to get my 3 month old kitten a bed mat that was fluffy because he likes to “knead” fluffy fabrics. He loves this mat. It’s very fluffy but not a soft texture but he doesn’t mind. They only thing is it’s a very fiber type of material. It’s not woven. So he also decided he likes to lick and pull on it with his tiny teeth. I plan to get a small. Piece of fabric to cover the mat in so he won’t try to ingest any of the fibers. Will be wonderful for his crate and his perching areas. Cat ppl and small dogs be careful of small fibers. If he doesn’t eat it I would buy again hahah. also his brothers don’t seem to love the texture like he does but they will sit on it. But not sleep

I got this product to help my dog be more comfortable in his crate. But it is no longer comfortable for him. This mat was supposed to be semi-waterproof. However, it is not. Everything soaks into the mat. And it now stinks SO bad that I'm going to have to throw it away.

I got this for my 3.5 month old puppy when he outgrew his old crate and he loves this mat so much more than the Petsmart one he had previously! He’s a husky mix so he gets pretty hot easily and this seems to keep him cooler and more comfortable — meaning he sleeps better for me at night! Also, when paired with the Frisco crate, he can’t scratch the bed up from the sides (which he also did before and then would crawl under the mat). Overall very satisfied, will buy again when I likely will need another crate for him in a few months!

I have purchased two of these crate mats in two different sizes. I have a larger crate in the living room with a small crate in the bedroom for night time for now. I woke up a few days ago to the sound of my new puppy choking, thinking I was going to lose her. My sense is that she ate some of the "fur" from the crate mat she was sleeping on...she eventually cleared her throat but I wanted something that if she chewed on, she wouldn't choke. This mat is durable, chewable, cushioned, and provides me with a sense of security that she is safe. These mats are also more affordable than similar more expensive mats I've seen but of equal quality. Definitely recommend.

I think this was a great mat for my dogs crate but... she eventually chewed a hole in the corner of it and I had to toss it. The material is relatively tough, which is great, but once you have a hole there is no hope of traditional sewing. I was disappointed in this respect; I thought it would have lasted longer than it did. She is only a schnauzer so I can only imagine what a larger dog who chews could do.

Murphy and I love this mat. It’s so much thicker than the others we’ve purchased. It’s easy to vacuum and wipe clean. I think it keeps him cooler than the other mats also. Will definitely buy this one again in the future.

I bought the 54” for my Saint Bernard. She absolutely loves it. Gives her enough cushion from the hard crate but not the fluff of other beds that make her hot in the summer. It’s been durable too. The only thing that is slightly irritating is the sound the bed makes when she moves around. It sounds kind of like the material your gym teacher would wear in the 90’s - you know what I’m talking about - they had the matching jacket and pants. Anyway, it makes the swishing sound and wakes me up. All in all, I would buy again!
