Description

If you don’t have a fenced-in yard, a tie-out cable and stake system provides dogs with secure access to the yard so they can take care of potty business. It creates a safe zone that allows dogs the freedom to go outside while preventing them from escaping the yard if they get distracted. That way, you can make sure your pup makes good use of his outdoor time—like answering the call of nature—instead of getting into doggy shenanigans. It’s easy to use—just clip one of the metal swivel clips to the D-ring on the stake, and the other one to the D-ring on your dog’s collar. After your dog “goes”, simply unclip and they’re ready to come back inside. These tie-out cables are available in a variety of lengths and widths so you can find the one that’s just right for your pup.

Key Benefits
  • Provides secure containment outdoors for dogs in the absence of a fenced-in yard. Includes tie-out cable and stake.
  • Allows dogs to be out in the yard for potty training, without the risk of escaping or getting into trouble. Great for camping too!
  • Easy to use by clipping one of the metal swivels clips to your dog’s collar, and the other to the included stake.
  • The cable is made of chrome-plated steel with a durable vinyl coating so it’s designed to stand up to daily use.
  • Available in various lengths and widths to accommodate dogs of most breeds and sizes.
Precautions

Intended for dogs only. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use as a tie-out cable for walking your dog. Never use any tie-out cable near or around obstacles in which your dog can become entangled. Remove the cable, stake, or trolley when not in use. Keep hands/extremities clear of the tie-out cable in case your dog lunges. Not all dogs can be tied out effectively. Pet parent supervision and judgement is required. Never leave your dog unattended while on a tie-out cable, stake, or trolley. Check the tension of your tie-out system regularly. Immediately discard the cable, stake, or trolley is damaged.

Do not use with choke-type collars, adjustable collars or harnesses.

    Rusted in Two Weeks

By ScotchDutch on Jan 12, 2021

Got this and thought it would perform like the Aspen one I got from Chewy. This on was cheaper. But this one rusted outside in two weeks. I literally cannot open the clasp to put it on my dog's collar. I live in Sonoma County where the winters are pretty mild with occasional rain in the winter. I'm disappointed because I also have one from Aspen and it is doing fine.

    Chewy rocks!

By Patricia on Jan 11, 2021

There was a great deal in these items, when I received them, was very pleased with the quality. And they somehow managed to get it to me by the next day, despite COVID and Christmas. I never hesitate to order from Chewy, because they have good prices and if I am not happy , they have the Best customer service ever!

Cable has rusted after a week.

By Germanshepherd on Dec 22, 2020

The stake is great. The latch for the cable has already rusted after about a week of use. When not using the latch is kept under a covered area where is doesn’t get wet. I would definitely purchase for the stake but recommend looking for a new cable.

    Easy to Install

By Erica on Jan 5, 2021

Super easy to install and I feel it is long enough to provide ample restraint on my dog. She's only 20lbs at the moment so... However, the clip did rust after one use. It was not raining, but the grass was wet from previous rain.

    Worked Halfway

By CentralVaShopper on Dec 27, 2020

Bought the Frisco Easy Grip Stake with Tie Out Cable so our 20 lb dog could run up and down the hill while playing outside and not be on a leash. After 3 times up and down our side yard he pulled the stake halfway out of the ground.

    Great Product

By DaveL on Dec 5, 2020

I really like this Tie Out Cable because it has a really long cable, which allows my puppy to roam almost the full scope of my lawn. The cable is strong, yet lightweight, which makes it easier for my young pup to run with it on.

    Great product

By ValN on Jan 9, 2021

We do t have a fenced in yard, so being able to securely tie out our puppy is extremely helpful. Sometimes we all need a break from each other!

    Great product, great price.

By Happycustomer on Dec 16, 2020

The anchor goes into the ground very easily and the chain is the perfect weight for my bichon/terrier mix. Solved a big problem for me.

    Tie out cable

By Bella on Nov 7, 2020

This is exactly what I wanted, my driveway gets so slick in the winter. I’m going to use this in my backyard instead of walking my dog.

    Rusting after 2 weeks

By Shan on Aug 26, 2020

I love the spike. It goes into the ground easily and stays there with minimal effort. It’s really is a great training tool for a very curious puppy. However, the part that connects the rope to the leash has rusted after just two weeks and is very hard, if not impossible at times, to use. Honestly I’d buy this again for the ground spike.
