    Doggie Approved!

By Oreiayean on Mar 27, 2021

My Leia is on the smaller side of large. She's a retriever / border collie mix and originally had her bowls directly on the floor. She sheds a lot and her fur would end up in her water. Her kibble, as she's a little piggy, would often get in her water too. Her kibble would actually get all over the floor My Leia is on the smaller side of large. She's a retriever / border collie mix and originally had her bowls directly on the floor. She sheds a lot and her fur would end up in her water. Her kibble, as she's a little piggy, would often get in her water too. Her kibble would actually get all over the floor and under furniture that is raised. Aaaaaaaand she's tipped her water bowl over. That's what led me here. 99% of her kibble is ate, and a small percentage still ends up on the floor. None ends up in her water bowl. I'm ecstatic with this! It's doesn't take up much space, and it's a nice elevation from the floor while keeping in mind of her height. It's also deterred my adorable cats from stealing the dog food. (And they still try, even though it's been an amazing month.) Instead of laying on the floor and carelessly slopping her food around, not too interested and having a lot of trapped gas (yeah, it's funny how she scares herself, but it's not good for her), she's standing and actually eating more of her food. She's not having digestive issues and she's not gaseous like before. Some dogs benefit from an elevated stand, and she's one of them. Leia is happy, cats are unable to steal, no accidents with the water bowl being tipped over, Leia's fur and kibble don't get in either bowl, and that makes me happy! … more

Not for a large dog... too flimsy

By Duke on Feb 24, 2021

This is high enough for a large dog, and you would think since the manufacturer knows only large dogs can access this elevated dog diner you would at least have sturdy solid plastic frame and heavy bowls. This was a waste of money. Stand is cheap plastic and the bowls are soo thin that when you clean This is high enough for a large dog, and you would think since the manufacturer knows only large dogs can access this elevated dog diner you would at least have sturdy solid plastic frame and heavy bowls. This was a waste of money. Stand is cheap plastic and the bowls are soo thin that when you clean the bottom they pop out!! Ridiculous. The whole frame moves when your dog tries to eat from it. Shame on Chewy for promoting this product. Would have returned but threw out shipping box. … more
