poorly made
Ordered two of these. Holes size for bowel was a bit small but still functional. On one item, one of the legs was 1/4 inch shorter then the other. The top that the bowel sets into is not truly finished like the picture appears.
Not worth the money
I cannot believe I spent thirty dollars on this. The wood is stained or painted in spots but not sealed, and the one I received already had a split in the top. I need it for an emergency foster we are taking in and did not have time to return it and order a new one, so I spent some time fixing it up. Ten minutes of sanding and one can of sealant later, and it might last. I cannot imagine using this for a water bowl though.
My dog loves it
My older dog was stopped eating because it was becoming too difficult to eat from her bowl on the floor. With this elevated bowl she loves to eat again. Thank you!!
Not a bad option
The first one of these arrived damaged with a leg being slightly detached. Chewy resolved the issue for us quickly. The bowl does well for making it easier for our older dog to more easily drink from the bowl. She no longer has an uneasy, unbalanced front heavy stance like she did drinking from a floor level bowl. However, I am not terribly happy with the finish of the product. The top of the unit has some sort of wood/veneer which sort of looks stained. But it is not water resistant pretty much at all, and the finish has even leeched off the surface when water is splashed on it and left discolored puddles below the bowl. I full expect the wood portion of the unit to become damaged or maybe even mold over time unless I take it upon myself to clean, sand, and refinish with a waterproof coating/stain. Considering this unit is obviously going to have near constant water contact from spills and drips, its a poor choice to not properly waterproof the wood.
Perfect Size
My 100 lb female rottweiler loves her new bowl. She actually looks pleased!
Too small for a great Dane puppy
This is a good size for maybe a retriever or doodle but not for a Great Dane puppy
Recommend only for small dog
The elevation is only half the height of my current ones. It's great for a smaller dog which I wouldn't have thought a 12 cup bowl would apply to.
Decorative feed bowl
Nice to have an option that is more decorative than all the other plastic options. Very simple, good height. Color is really nice.
Working great for outdoor water
We really like this item. Other water bowls kept getting kicked over and spilled. Sonic loves his new outdoor water bowl. Probably won't use year round only Apr to Sep.
Perfect for our needs
I wanted a single LARGE bowl of water for our two pups (mini and standard Aussie) so I only had to fill It up once a day - this is it! Bonus the pups SPLASH less while they are drinking, so it’s saving my floors too!
