Cute harness, but neck hole is too tight

We have two 17 lb Havanese, I measured them & ordered the small harnesses. We really had to push to get this over their heads. Taking it off was worse. It also felt tight while they were wearing it. The back portion is adjustable, but the neck is not. (Also, the clip is gold plastic & did not feel super sturdy. Unsure how that would hold up long term.) I'm disappointed, because it is cute for the holidays. But, it has to go back.

Sizing issue: waaay too big

Sizing is off. The chest strap is adjustable. But the neck part is NOT proportion at all. Just by looking at this picture, way too NOT right. I was hoping that it will be better in actual. The manufacturer needs to actually measure the neck of the dog for proper sizing. It looks like the manufacturer was just guessing the size. Even their options of sizes, just nothing is appropriately sized. on the other hand, the materials and color are okay. But the size, just does not fit. What should I do with these? Can the manufacturer pay for the alterations if I bring this to the alteration shop?

Beautiful

I originally ordered the small size, but Chase's head was a touch too big to fit, although the body fit perfectly. I called Chewy Customer Service and the agent immediately ordered the medium, and asked that I donate the small to my local animal shelter. The shelter was grateful to receive the harness and the 20 LB. bag of dry dog food I purchased. I love how Chewy does business, you have a customer as long as we have Chase.

Hard to get off dog

This is super cute and same size as my dogs other one (different brand), so I thought it would be great for him! Unfortunately, it is very hard to get off of my dog's neck and he is actually now afraid of it. It's lacking a triangle of elastic, which stretches in the other one we have- which is aparently a must with our dog. Oh well
