My two cats love this. I’ve had it for 2 years and have moved during that time. It was easy to put together, and easy to tear apart and out back together again. Through all that it’s held up pretty well. Some of the hanging items have been ripped down because they play with them a lot. But most everything else is in good shape. The only thing is that the 3 stands become loose. Even if we tighten it up all the way it still seems a little loose. My cats are small so it hasn’t been a problem for them, but I’m not sure if it would be stable for bigger cats.
This is a really great tree for regular or small cats. One of my cats is very large and makes the platforms sway a bit. Really like the included wall mount, that helps keep it steady. Instructions are pretty straightforward. All the parts are labeled for ease of assembly, just take your time.
I’m so happy with this purchase and our 11-week old kittens are too! It’s a beautiful tree, thoughtfully crafted, sturdy, and soft. The kittens can climb up and down with ease and love the dangly toys. We put it together a couple of hours ago and they haven’t come off of it! I didn’t wind up using the rope toy because it looked a bit stringy but the other toys are great. 5 stars!
The reason we purchased this is because of the great multi levels. Our cat can easily get from one area to the other without having to make a big single leap. That is important to us as when we adopted her from the shelter she was healing from a severely broken leg. Long since healed, but it still makes us feel better about this purchase. The next reason was for the material. And all the many scratching posts! Those are big hits! Her other worn out cat tree is made from same faux material, so we knew that would help to make it a trouble free transition. It arrived with all the necessary hardware and was simple to put together. She likes to play on it while we’re there interacting with her, but still has yet to take to just hanging out on it on her own, watching the world or taking a catnap. We looked at questions and answers and comments before purchasing this and someone had asked if it had an odor to it and the answer was no. The one we received does. That is why I’m not giving it five stars. It is enough of an odor that it bothers me whenever I walk by it or am near it. What bothered me most about the odor is it is cat urine like. Enough so, that I actually got out a little black light to see if I saw stains. To our relief there was no stains. But it’s still smelly and it makes me think that that must be the reason she doesn’t hang out on it for any length of time. Because we notice see her sniffing around when she’s on it. Definitely disappointed with that as it is supposed to be her own special place. I hate to end on a stinky note though, so I will say she took to the hanging rope right away, as well as the other hanging toys! Great great design!
I first received this tree as a gift and my cats love it so much. Only downside is they use it so much I have to order a new one every year. My one cat has bad eyesight so I’m afraid to change trees for fear she will fall off using muscle memory to climb it. I really really wish they would sell replacement sisal bars so I don’t have to order a whole new tree (better for environment)
It was pretty easy to assemble. I bought this one because people had said it was suitable for large cats and one of mine is 17 lbs. I would say the top perches are not that big and a little flimsy but that doesn't stop my other cat (who's only 8 lbs) from climbing up. And the big guy doesn't mind squishing himself into the box in the middle! They're not exactly obsessed with this thing but they do use it daily.
The kittens love this tree. Have to let them approach it on their own (of course cheat using favorite toys and treats). Great price. The quality could be higher, but it is not "cheaply made"
Overall good quality, got back in September and still in good shape! Not wobbly, but I wish the platforms were a little bigger because there’s been times when she gets zoomies and has fell off when jumping up lol. She loves the little cubby I put a bed inside and the toys attached :)
It took a few days for her to decide but now she like to "hide" in the condo. she has yet to climb to the top but I think she will in time.
Everything was in the box needed to assemble the tree. The directions were clear and easy to follow. One very minor problem - the single center hole for the bottom [platform was misplaced. It took just minutes to measure and drill another hole. We have multiple cats using the tree from 8 pounds to 20 pounds. The tree is sturdy and the 'apartment' is a favorite sleeping place. I love the color and the fabric. This doesn't show hair as much as our former carpeted tree.
