Dog & I are both impressed
I was worried that this would be too firm when we first unboxed it, but turns out it's pup-approved. He loves this one more than any of his other beds (might be a low bar, since they were pretty basic plush ones). The couch and our bed are still clear winners, but when he's not allowed on them, this is the first bed he heads for. Also nice and soft for humans to hang out on when they're sitting/standing with said dog.
Not what I expected
I donno, I don't like how it looks, kinda ugly but I could get past that if it had quality stuffing. For this being an orthopedic bed, the foam is thin. The size is barely big enough for my lab, who is on the petite side. Overall seems cheap and the quality is not for a dog in need of support/comfort for old bones. This is the second time I have bought an orthopedic bed from this company and the bed is no way made for actual support.
The faux fur is nice, not falling out, stitching looks complete. My dog does use this but seemed hesitant at first. It’s definitely not plush or like memory foam in any way. It’s sturdy and dense and like thick/soft cardboard. I’ll keep it because my dog does use it and it looks nice in her kennel.
Just received our bed, ordered it after one of our dogs passed this week and we needed something new to cheer us up. Our other 2 Shepherds love it, I wish the XXL was in stock because this is slightly small for them. This is an XL. Will probably order a XXL once it’s in stock. As other reviewers say, it does slide around so will need to put something underneath it!
Only for light weight dogs
They say this is an orthopedic bed but it is thin foam, not memory foam or cushy. Would only recommend this bed for a dog that was 10 lbs or under, as it has very little support, I am not impressed with it.
All my dogs love this bed. It's also stylish. I have it in my formal living room and it looks like it belongs, not a dog bed. I am very satisfied. It looks expensive but is affordable. The bed is also very thick and plush great support for elderly dogs hips. Highly recommend!!
Dog refuses to touch it
When we first received the bed, it had a chemical smell to it, so I was not surprised that my dog wouldn't lay on this bed. My senior bully loves laying on plush blankets and using her furry stuffed animals as pillows and I figured once the bed aired out, she would be all over it. Unfortunately, I was incorrect. It's been three weeks of trying to convince her to give it a chance, placing it on floor in front of, next to, and on top of her old lounger bed, but she won't even step on it. She'd rather lay on the thin area rug or the bare floor. I feel like she knows something I don't know about this bed. Additionally, the foam on this bed is no more than an inch thick and flattens to the floor when you put any pressure on it, so I am not sure how it can be classified as "orthopedic." And please be aware that there is no gripping on the bottom of the bed, so it slides all over the place. Would not recommend. This was a failure of an Adopt-iversary gift.
Dogs love this bed!
We ordered the xxlarge bed for our German Shepherd (for reference he’s 27” at the shoulder, 130lbs)-and fits perfectly on the bed. He can stretch out if he wants, and it even comfortably fits a 25lb Australian Shepherd puppy with him. I was worried the bed wouldn’t be big enough, but that’s not the case at all. And so far it’s been super durable! The puppy has chewed on it and played on it and there’s no damage whatsoever. The “fur” isn’t coming out, it’s not shedding, and it looks great with our rustic home decor.
Stylish and Soft Pet Pillow
#ReceivedFreeProduct The Frisco Faux Fur Orthopedic Pillow Bed is the BEST!!! Wonderful design as its so stylish and really feels incredibly soft and inviting. The orthopedic pad is nice and thick and provides excellent support for my dog. Moreover, the cover is removable for easy cleaning. I highly recommend Frisco Pet Beds as they are like no other.
Looks Cute but Super Cheap
I would think, for the original price, this bed would be “heavy” and feel well made and put together. Its not. Its super cheap feeling and lightweight. I dont know how this is orthopedic either because its not only thin, but not at all firm to keep my dog from basically still sitting on the ground. Its a good idea for a bed but im guessing there are probably vendors out there who do it better.
