About Frisco Crates and Mats

Dens to Curl Up In

Dens to Curl Up In

Even the most playful pups need a spot where they can wind down and gather their energy for the next adventure. Frisco's created the perfect dens that are made to fit the tiniest pooches to the biggest member of the pack. Super comfy and built for safety, these crates give your pup a cozy lair to call his own.

Built for Safety

Keeping your pet safe is the most important feature of Frisco Crates. The sturdy wire panels have rounded corners and a durable black electro-coating. Each door locks securely with an L-shaped, slide-bolt safety latch. The larger models have two latches per door for the ultimate protection.

All the Comforts of Home

A dog's den should be his castle—a place where he can relax. Frisco Crates come with a plastic base pan to cover the wire floor and keep things clean. But you can also add a Frisco Crate Mat to make his den even more comfortable. This quilted fleece bed is made from soft Sherpa material with a foam cushion bottom and thick bolster to make your pet feel at home in his den.

Fold and Carry Design

It's easy to pack up into a compact, portable shape, so you can take the Fold & Carry Crate along with you when you're on the go with your dog. Plastic handle(s) are included for transporting every size. They can be positioned in any spot along the crate to give you a steady grip.

It Grows With Your Pet

Frisco Fold & Carry Crates not only come in every size, but they also grow with your pup as he gets older. The included divider panel can be inserted with minimal effort to create a smaller enclosure for puppies. You can move the panel to make the space inside larger until your pup reaches his adult size.

  • Solid quality, fits 4Runner

This reasonably priced crate has been perfect for my Rottweiler. The side door is perfect because I put this in my 2013 4Runner. The crate Dimensions literally fit perfectly in the cargo area with no inches to spare. My dog is very calm and doesn't try to escape his crate so I'm not too concerned with how incredibly strong the wire is but it does seem quite strong. I have Midwest crates in the house and maybe the wire gauge is a smidge stronger on the Midwest versus this Frisco. But the functioning of the doors, the quality of the pan and the ease of use seems identical to Midwest. I do appreciate that it is lighter in weight so that we can take it out and use it inside Grandma's house or if we travel somewhere else. I love Midwest crates but they are very heavy so this one really does the job but is lighter and is less expensive. I'm very surprised at the quality of this I highly recommend it. … more

  • Well thought out

We got a 36" for our standard goldendoodle puppy who shouldn't grow to be more than 40-45lbs, and I'm hoping it will still be a good fit for her. The moveable partition is great and easy to adjust as she grows, although at her size we aren't able to use the side door yet because of where it's placed. The locks for the door were trickier than we expected, you have to slide them in at a certain angle to close, which is a great idea for tricky pups, but took a little getting used to for tired humans waking up in the middle of the night to take a puppy out. I ended up putting a tiny strip of colored electric tape on the right spot so I could easily see the best place to lock it late at night, We got a 36" for our standard goldendoodle puppy who shouldn't grow to be more than 40-45lbs, and I'm hoping it will still be a good fit for her. • A mess to untangle...

    By on

I ordered the large size (42") which weighs alot (to me, anyway). It arrives folded and flat and I drag it in the shipping carton upstairs to my bedroom to set it up. I take it out the carton and the top and two longer sides pop up like they're supposed to. Yay!! But then...the two shorter sides are entangled with the kennel divider so they all are pretty much stuck to the floor of the kennel. I tried for over thirty minutes to free the two shorter sides of the kennel from the divider with no success. I had to resort to calling a weight lifter friend to come over since he is much stronger. He had to use pliers to pry the hooks on the divider off the two sides. I didn't need the divider I ordered the large size (42") which weighs alot (to me, anyway). If he wasn't there to help, I'd have to say I'd be looking at a big recyclable because I was not strong enough to separate the tangled mess of sides and divider on the bottom of the kennel by myself. Now that it's set up I think it will work just fine. But set up in this case was by no means easy! … more

  • Great value.

Really happy with this purchase although the crate is a bit cumbersome to unfold in the small place we put it it is easily folded down and back up to move around the house. My dog has plenty of room to stand turn around and lay down with her feet completely out she also really likes the bed pad that we got for it. As a husky she is an escape artist and has managed on one occasion to flip open the latches and escape. So I do wish the latches secured a little better. That said we solved the problem by using 4 zip ties on the door that were not using and using two padlocks that I had laying around the house on the door that we do use one on top and one towards the bottom of the door. We don't actually lock these we just have them open but in the locked position and loop them so that she can't push open the latch. I did read a review on here about another dog doing the same thing with this crate. Honestly I have heard many stories about many crates where the dog figured out the latch so again it would be nice if someone would come up with a latch that actually was 100% effective. Aside from that the crate is very sturdy very roomy and we absolutely do love it I would definitely recommend it or buy it again. … more

  • Fantastic crate!

I'm very pleased with this crate! It comes fully assembled and is easy to slide out of the box and unfold. It's really so simple. You don't need tools to put it together, and everything snaps into place and locks securely. The tray slides out for easy cleaning and snaps quickly back into place. This crate is quite large, and my 70lb dog can fully stand up, turn around, and sprawl out to sleep. It's made from strong metal, and is a little heavy, but comes with detachable carrying handles to use when folded, which make transportation a lot easier. The price of this crate is 50% less than prices in stores and other places online that I've seen, and shipping is really fast! Highly recommend! I'm very pleased with this crate! • Exactly what we needed

We bought the 48" crate for our 1 yr old, 50 lb boxer who is extremely active and cannot be left indoors alone without being confined. We can't leave her outdoors when we're gone because we don't live in the safest neighborhood. Also the summer heat and winter cold is too extreme for her for more than a few minutes to do her business. The 48" is 2 sizes bigger than suggested, but she's pretty lanky and we want her to be able to stretch out. It's not for house breaking. We already had her in the 36" for house breaking from 5 months old (when we adopted her ) and she could barely sit up now that she's full grown. • Surprised and awed

I have a 10 week old Australian Shepard. I really disliked crates, but mostly because I've experienced people leaving their dogs in them all day with maybe a 10 minute walk before they left to party- and the dogs turning aggressive and out of control. The 48 in crate is huge for my puppy but he actually loves it! You think you know how big 48 in until you actually set it up and crawl into it. We only intend to use it for short periods of time but I feel secure knowing he has more than enough room. My English Mastiff was curious about it and I dare say it would even fit him (though I would definitely need to XXL crate for max comfort). • ABSOLUTELY BEST BUY!!!

I love this crate!! I have been a dog owner my entire life. This crate is lightweight, easy to carry with the handles that came as a suprise plus! Double doors make it easy for me to rearrange. I have a small house and only have ever had one door, inconvenient, bulky heavy cages at 3x the price!! It's strong enough to contain my playful bulldog but light enough I can manage moving and traveling with it. My last crate I paid 200$ for special order for oversized dog and it's so heavy once I set it up there was no moving it. I love this crate and plan to buy a second for the second floor of my house. I thought I was destined to spend another 200+$ and was happy to be proved wrong. I ordered I love this crate!! I have been a dog owner my entire life. • Great Value!

    By on

This crate is a great value! I've been searching for one this size for quite awhile, but I didn't want to pay over $100 for it. It was a steal, it's nicer than the one I have, which I paid over $100 for. It has 2 doors and also a divider if you want to put 2 dogs in that need to be separated. I have a Maltese, 6 lbs and an American Eskimo, 20 lbs, that like to be together in a crate. This gives them plenty of room. Probably bigger than I need, but it's the exact size I wanted! I would highly recommend this, don't pay outrageous prices when you can get it for considerably less!

My mother in law was hospitalized while we were visiting with our new 15 month old ridgeback rescue. In a strange house and with lots of tasty new things to explore, our dog could have created a disaster. CHEWY saved our trip and family relationship. This Frisco Kennel is roomy (our dog is huge 125 lb), sturdy (she is crate trained and very well behaved in it), and comfortable (for hours at a time) with a bed added . It arrived in one day and went up easily without help. The two doors allow for flexibility in where to put it. We also have the giant one at home and have been so impressed I wanted the same brand but smaller(still big) size for traveling.
