I have an older Midwest crate that is as sturdy as can be. When I place my dog in it, he is there until I release him. I purchased this Frisco crate so that I’d have a crate on my upper floor as well. It is made from such bendable material that he is able to remove the door by pushing on the roof of the crate. It’s virtually useless except as a large door stop.
I noticed that as my dog was getting older, he no longer fit all that well in his old crate (the one he came with about 7 years ago) - so I decided to get him this one from Chewy. It was MUCH more affordable than other sources, and is very sturdy and sets up quickly. Did he embrace the new digs with open paws? Heck no ... at least not for the first 4-5 days! Now, however, he has accepted it, and loves having all the room to stretch out and snooze. :)
I have a pocket size bully, I bought large, I don't know why I was thinking it wouldn't be big enough, but I could probably fit two dogs in there, either way, that gave me enough space to place a bed, and toys while she's inside. I would not complaint about it at all. It did take a lot of space from my living room, she basically have a whole castle to herself !
This crate is not very well manufactured, especially for the price of this crate. The door at the bottom doesn't go flush, and the door is extremely difficult to open and close. I wish I would have read the description better and made sure to purchase a more heavy duty. On the bright side I purchased the big barker ortho crate pad and she absolutely loves it. Please buy a different crate other than this one.
My dog is in his teenage stage and is biting everything! He is not in his cage for long and he still manage to bang the cage pad on the floor and chew it up. it is plastic, but if your dog is a heavy chewer. i highly do not recommend getting this
Heinz was crate trained way back yonder when we first got him. Now that he is in his golden years, things like thunder storms suddenly bothered him. Purchased a new crate, larger than his initial since the former he outgrew, in hopes it would help with weather driven anxiety. Safe to say it has and retained his crate wisdom. Next up, to have him on MTV for his awesome crib
This kennel is horrible! It lasted all of three days before the door broke. The metal literally broke. I had a hard time setting it up because the put the divider underneath and it hooked the sides together. I’m very disappointed in the quality of this product, especially for what I paid!
