What size would be best for cats?
Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2019
To determine the best size for your pets, we recommend considering the pet size as well as how much they may drink daily. The X-Small waterer holds 0.25 gallons, Small holds 0.75 gallons, Medium holds 1.5 gallons and the Large holds 3 gallons. For multiple cats, the X-Small or Small should work well.

How do you place the jug on the bowl without spilling water?
Answer by ChewyDec 11, 2019
To refill this pet waterer, simply remove the dish and cap, flip the system, and refill the tank. Once the tank has been filled, screw the cap back on, and then screw on the dish. You can use the time between fills to clean the bowl for a fresh experience each time.

I'd buy again if they add a handle on top of water jug!

This was a good price and it keeps our choc Lab with the amount of water he needs. The difficulty is lifting the large jug, flipping it over to aim exactly on the bowl holder. It would be great to have a handle on top of the jug as I don't have the strength in my hands to hopefully not slip when holding the sides to place it on the bowl. And to hope I dried it well enough to not slip out of my hands. But enjoy not having to fill a water bowl 3xs a day. This lets me fill every 4 days for our Choc Lab and sometimes dog visitors.

My cat loves this

My cat loves this! I want to make sure she always has fresh water and she drinks from it daily. Easy to clean with a little soap and hot water, then shake and rinse. It doesn't leak.. Thank you Chewy!

Very Convenient- found replacement caps

I have 2 large dogs and this definitely has saved me from constantly refilling bowls. Also, less spillage on the floor which is a bonus. I’ve had to buy this twice because the seam on the filler cap broke. It seemed silly that I would have to buy the entire waterer again so I wanted to share- if you google “Replacement Cap for Large Gravity Waterers”, you can cheaply replace the cap for the large (don’t know about the other sizes).

Not crazy about it

I guess this waterer is okay, but I don't like the design of the part that allows the water to be dispensed into the bowl. I prefer the old waterers from the 70's/80's. Maybe the plastic wasn't as "healthy" and maybe some people spilled water turning the reservoir over, but more water was dispensed into the bowl with the old-fashioned kind.

Just okay,

Well I agree first off with many of the other reviews that have been left, but another thing I would like to add is that once the water tank itself is filled it is very heavy and there are no handles and no way to hold on to it it is very slippery, there needs to be some built-in to hold on to the tank itself as you drop it into the bowl, I have dropped the tank several times just trying to put it back into the holder, and the tank itself is very flimsy plastic I fear that one of these days when I drop it that the tank itself will just break and explode, my advice to the makers would be to put in some built-in handles into the plastic tank itself so that you can hold on to it as you lower it into the holder, and I am a very Stout man, this would be very very difficult for a woman to do

Broke too easily

I bought this thing about a year ago and it didnt even last 2 months. Somehow the cap broke and water was leaking everywhere. Replaced with a different brand water dispenser and haven't had an issue with the new one.

Hard to Clean

I would have rated it 5 stars in the beginning but now I realize how hard it is to clean. The tank always gets a green tint after a day and I am constantly soaking it. It would have a 5 Star rating from me if the cap was bigger so I could get my hand in there for a better cleaning.

This thing is HUGE

and the opening is small. Since the you can not stick your hand in the hole to clean this, I have taking away 2 stars. Mine got very green, very fast, and my hands are small. I had resorted to putting a wash cloth in there and shaking it to clean the inside. There might be a brush tool out there that will clean all the nooks and crannies, but I haven't been able to find it yet

Medium and Large

I bought both the medium & large one. The plastic the tanks are made from is kind of thin. You don't notice it on the medium, but you do on the large one. Also, the large one is almost too heavy to handle when full, I just fill it about half full. These are good for the price, but there are better ones out there if you don't mind paying more.

Great water bowl

I purchased three of these water bowls for a cat rescue that I volunteer with. They are lightweight and very easy to refill and clean. I will definitely replace our large water bowls , which are bulky and hard to fill, with these smaller water bowls.
