The enhanced lock is a combination of a push button lock that secures the wire lock handle. The wire lock connects above and below the door by use of a wire handle. Pushing the wire handle into the push button lock secures the handle so it cannot be opened without pushing the button.

The door on the crate is wonderful, I don't have to bend to the floor to open the crates. However every one of these I have gotten, I have literally needed tools to get them to unfold the first time. The hooks used to make the crate stand up are always hooked over a bar they shouldn't be when the crate is folded down and it is always a pain in the butt to get them apart. I think some cardboard may help? Maybe not. I don't know, but I would appreciate that getting figured out. These are wonderful crates, the latch is beautiful and they are hands down my favorite crates so I will continue buying them as I need more, but it would be nice if I didn't need to try 5 tools before finding the one that actually gives the leverage needed to pop this crate open! It's been different tools with all 3 of the ones I have. When I break them down flat that doesn't happen again. Just be prepared with some tools to open it the first time.
Our 16-18 lbs rescue feels safe in it. It assembled (popped up) in moments. We used the divider to shrink the dog’s space slightly, as recommended (to avoid pottying in it). Opens in front and on side, fits a bed and toys easily with room to spare. We like this kennel and were able to locate it conveniently
Our dog was laying down in the kennel, went to roll on his back when one of his pads on his front right paw got stuck in one of the wires on this kennel! My dog then screamed and stood up causing the wire to go through is pad completely and up the wire on the kennel. So we had to bend the wire to the kennel and SLIDE his paw down and off the wire. After stopping the bleeding and dressing the wound, and calming him down he would not even walk near the kennel. We had no idea a wire was loose or anything!! Heartbreaking!
Dog Kennel is holding up well. We bought an X-Large for our 140lb Saint. She had room to move around and the bed is made of nylon so it is cool for her. This all has made her adjustment easier, as she was never kenneled, she recently starting having anxiety and has clawed through two of our walls when she is at home by herself.
I bought this crate because I needed something that would last for my black lab, and boy was I taken by surprise when I lifted the box, this thing is HEAVY! But for good reason, upon taking it out of the box and setting it up, I immediately noticed how thick the metal is in comparison to any other metal crate I have EVER bought! The tray at the bottom is also very durable. This thing is a lifetime quality purchase! I love the locks as well, it was a nice surprise compared to the typical sliding locks that my dogs know how to undo themselves. I will DEFINITELY be buying a second one soon for my chocolate lab! Also incredibly convenient to collapse for when we vacation :) I also truly appreciate the price for how high the quality is!
Great value for money. Sturdy heavy metal material. No assembly instructions were included. After finding them online assembly was quite tedious. But in the end it is a great product for a great price.
The headline really says it all. Well made crate, well packaged and fairly easy to set up. We moved up from a large transport (airline type) crate and he has more room, more comfort and it is easier to work the door. Great product and supplier, thanks!
I purchased another crate for my new puppy, and it was one of the furniture wooden crates, which he destroyed and escaped nearly instantly. This crate is amazing, sturdy and what seems to be escape proof for him thus far!! He doesn't mind going in this one, as it is open and he can see what's going on more than the other crate i purchased. Would purchase this one again in a heartbeat!
My last home was small, easy to chew and too enclosed. My parents who helped me buy my place kept saying how expensive it was. We shopped around and found this large open concept for $50 less and space to grow into. My anxiety is less and I love the space. (I will probably redecorate the floor that came with it)
I purchased this crate for my 15 week old Bernie Doodle and wanted something sturdy and that she can grow with. It has a divider to adjust the size. Also it will allow us to travel and take her with us since it folds up for travel. The closures are also very secure.
