Outstanding!
We needed an xl create for our puppy who outgrew his other crate so fast but only had so much room to work with. The door of the other crate was always in the way and with the new crate being two sizes bigger it was going to be an even bigger hassle. Then we found this crate with the sliding doors. They have been leg savers!!! We have been using it every day since we got it and have no complaints! Definitely worth the investment.
Love the idea of sliding door, but
I’ve had this crate for 2 months & love the functionally of a sliding door, since I like to leave the crates open so dogs can go in if they like. After 2 months of use. The doors are getting hard to slide in the tract, due to rust build up. These are in the house, just water dripping from a goofy pups mouth after a drink from his water bucket, going in & out the door. If the door is getting stiff after 2 months, hmmm. I hesitated to use WD40 or silicone spray, with toxic fumes. May need a roller, rather than metal on metal for future design, but still a good idea for crate arrangements with multiple dogs! They rest of the crate is quality made, just not the door tract.
Not Heavy Duty
Received this crate yesterday and put my two year old German Shepherd in it this morning for the first time while I took my kids to school. By the time I got back the entire door was completely off the track. I wouldn't consider this crate any more heavy duty than a store bought crate unfortunately.
Great Crate!
Ordered the large crate, 42 inches, for my 85 lb pitbull. Perfect size. Allows him to stand and lay comfortably. I wish the short side door that swings open was on the other side, to accomodate the space I have. My opposite wall cannot fit the crate. The long door that simply slides, rather than swing open is awesome. A real space saver! The pad that comes with this crate is extremely hard. I needed to order a better one. Communication and delivery with Chewy are top notch! Shopping here is always extremely easy, accurate and shipping is lightening fast. Would upgrade to 5 stars, if pad was softer. Still, the offer of a crate pad is a generous gesture.
Great design
This is BY FAR the best kennel I have ever bought! Got it for a tighter space near our bed, and you can set this up easily with very little extra space, unlike the others. The mat also seems really durable and of great quality, although my corso may prove otherwise...but the mat was just an added bonus! This is well worth the cost and I couldn't be happier thus far!
Frisch Crate 42”
Very happy. Easy setup and the door access in great. We’re mainly using the sliding double “barn door”. Easy locking mechanism. Sturdy. Holds my 6mo. old 38 lb. growing puppy. Should be large enough to keep him in it at maturity (55-60 lbs.).
Awesome crate
Crate is of good quality. I have a labradoodle that weighs 50 lbs. this give him more than enough room to live around. Love it!

Side door is not mounted/aligned correctly
The side door is not mounted correctly so the door shuts/locks easily. There are three areas which need to be aligned for the door latch/lock work correctly. The "left (hinge) side of the door, the upper and lower secure points and the latch itself. All three have to be aligned to work in tandem for the door to work correctly
Quality Crate /Reasonable Price
Did quite a bit of research online before I chose to purchase this crate. The majority of the reviews were positive, so I went with that. My crate was in perfect condition when it arrived and was easy to set up. The slider doors work really well. I couldn't find any sharp edges on the wires. They are heavy duty enough for my German Shepherd puppy. Crate is roomy enough too. The pad is holding up well also. Very pleased with this product.
