Fun and Unique Toy
This toy is so fun; I love it for this time of year especially! One of my dogs can get bored pretty quickly, and with this toy basically being two in one, his first introduction to it had him playing and trying to remove Santa from his suit for the longest time! It’s a good size for a medium-sized dog, and it keeps their attention with various crinkling and squeaking noises. My dog enjoyed playing with Santa and his coat separately once he realized his coat was a different element, and this toy is sturdy enough to handle being flung around. This would make such a cute Christmas present for your dogs!
Survived well against two super chewers
The Santa is a crinkly velcro coat with squeakers in the feet, velcroed over a smaller Santa pushie with a squeaker in the body. My big dog was very excited about it and took the Santa out of the coat immediately and started methodically tearing it apart. He's a systematic destroyer of plushies so it was not very long until he surgically removed the squeaker and stuffing from the plush. Meanwhile my smaller dog was enjoying the coat which works as it's own separate toy. Both of them enjoyed ruining the toy and playing tug of war together. I can't fault the manufacturer for the speed in which Santa was destroyed, as my dogs go through bones in a couple of days. It seems well sewn and the plush Santa has a pair of cute shorts and sandals under his coat. Overall I give it a good rating as my dogs both had a lot of fun with it. The one con is that the coat is very easy to take off and as such does not operate very well as a puzzle toy. But the coat operates well as it's own toy so it's not a complete waste. My big dog is a 63ib black mouthed cur and the tiny dog is a 23ib jack Russell terrier. As of three days after the initial review, all the squeakers have been removed but they still enjoy playing with the dead corpse and the crinkly coat.
Outside part is odd, but inside santa is cute
This is a two part toy, the outside part is just the jacket and feet. It has crackle material inside which my dogs liked. Inside is a smaller santa with the head and then a body. I don't quite understand the reason for the 2-in-1 design. It is also quite large when both parts are together, it seemed too big for my 30 and 35 pound dogs. There is a lot of stuffing inside, so I am wondering how long this will last before it is ripped apart. The smaller inside santa was the favorite part with my dogs, mainly because it had a squeaker in it.
Surprising Santa
We received our plush squeaky toy very quickly and I immediately opened it for the dogs to play with. They were hesitant at first, but I left it on the floor for them to explore on their own time. Not long after that I heard one of them playing vigorously with it. When I checked, it was our older dog and she was having the best time shaking it and flinging it in the air. Our other dog joined in and soon they pulled the 2 parts apart. The favorite part was definitely the crinkly outer ‘clothes’ part. One dog is a big chewer and she breached the Santa hat quickly, but since then they have played with it a few times with no extra damage.
Great Santa toy for Christmas!
My dog loves this toy! It’s two in one, he likes the Santa with his jacket, just the Santa, and just the jacket. The Santa is the perfect size and shape to bite and squeak and play. The Santa suit is nice and crinkly, which he loves.
2-in-1 Fun Engaging Toy
My dogs loved taking apart the 2-in-1 toy. The Santa clothes had a crinkly sound and the santa body had a squeaker toy. My other dog ended up playing with the crinkly part so they both had fun playing with the toy. Typically my one dog can tear the squeaker out in a couple minutes but it’s still together.
Stimulation Santa
This toy was fun for my boys (pit/lab mixes) they are about 100 lbs. This kept them going for a few hours. They always fight over toys. This one was cool because it was a 2 In one. So they would go back and fourth on the 2 pieces. The little vacation Santa body comes out of the Santa suit which has fun stuff on it. It had squeaks, crinkles, velcro so there was lots of stimulation for them. They love to destroy toys though so I will probably go through a few of these.
Stimulation toy
Toy was fun for my pit lab mixes. This kept them going for a few hours. I liked that it was a 2 in 1 toy since they steal toys from one another. I think the outside material could have been a little tougher since its meant for medium/large breeds but they definitely enjoyed the crinkle noises and squeakers.
So Far, So Good
This Santa Claus toy feels pretty well made, although if your dog is a heavy chewer then it probably wouldn't work as well. My dogs will usually tear the squeaker out of a toy like this fairly quickly, but this toy has lasted for the short time I've had it. I like that it's also not a small toy. It's got a good weight and size to it.
Christmas came early!
I was so excited to give this to our bigger dog as an early Christmas present! Our other dog is elderly and blind, so she has no interest. Very well made and love that it's two toys in one! It's the perfect size for a medium to bigger dog and ours is super happy with it!
