This covered litter box from Frisco by Chewy is all business—as in the business your kitty handles in the litter box. The hooded design helps keep litter and spray inside the box, while the translucent door provides the privacy felines demand. A charcoal filter and ventilated panel in the lid help cut down on litter box smells before they escape. This litter box is made with BPA-free and recyclable plastic, and the extra-large size is great for one or many cats. Plus, the top is removable, making it easy to clean.

I ordered these because they looked nice, but mainly because they were larger and I have four cats. The first day, one of the doors broke because the tab that little plastic hinge that holds it in place broke off, so it no longer has a door. Second, the design is horrible because it is rounded and it makes it almost impossible to scrape the cat's business from the pan. So I would never buy these again and unfortunately, I bought two.
I am pleased with the quality of this litter box. I wouldn’t buy again simply because the oval bottom and slanted sides make it hard to scoop the litter. I’m used to using the sides to help push the litter on to the scoop, and it’s hard to explain why, but the litter escapes the scoop due to shape. My cats also don’t like a flap, and with it removed, they can easily spray out the wide opening. Otherwise, it is roomy for bigger cats, and well made.
I love how big this is! The bottom of the box is curved, so that'll make it way easier to clean than trying to scrape out dirty corners and edges. The swinging door itself seems a little bit flimsy but I have it off for now, so hopefully that won't be much of a problem. The hood is easy to lock in place and very big, definitely won't be an issue for a large cat to turn around in.
We only just got this litter box recently, and the first time I had to replace the litter, it immediately cracked while dumping the old litter. I had noticed the plastic felt a lot cheaper than any other litter boxes we had bought before, but wasn't expecting it to break right away. It's a shame, cause we do need these bigger closed boxes for our messy cats, and there aren't many options around.
I’m very disappointed with this litter box. One of the hood latches immediately broke. I mean immediately, when filling it for the first time. The dimensions listed are not the inside dimensions, it is quite a bit smaller. I don’t recommend this box.
Have had 3 of these for my 2-cat household, for about 3 years. Pros: sufficiently large, easy to clean, keeps litter and urine mostly contained. Cons: the clips that secure the lids have fallen off, one after another, now mostly gone, and lids don't seem to be available separately; now it seems that the charcoal filters are also "no longer available." This does not please me! Seems like very poor quality, so cannot recommend. PS: Neither my cats nor I liked the door flap, which I removed and discarded as soon as I set them up. Some cats might be okay with it, mine wer not.
I purchased this because my old cat litter box was falling apart. This is good sized for my two cats, easy to assemble and doesn’t take up much space. Very happy.
the entrance door to the litter box is somewhat warped. this leaves a gap in the unit when it swings to the "closed" position. when she tries to cover up she throws a lot of the litter out of this opening. also sometimes when she urinates some of also this comes out of the box. is it possible you could supply a new door that would correct this problem. tks dferg.
This is second Frisco cat litter box I have ordered. Compare with all my other previous cat litter boxes, this is the most sturdy and the best quality. However, on the newer model I am missing top handle that would be easier to lift top part to clean. Older version box I loved the most. I also love curved corners that is easier to maneuver with scooper when I clean
The hood arrived slightly cracked on the front. My cat did not personally like the plastic door so I removed it and that also broke immediately. the hinges are flimsy as well. The bottom box part is roomy and easy to clean but spend your money on a different hooded litter box unless you want the hood to fall apart.
