Is it possible to place a pee pad under the grass mat to catch the urine?
Answer by ChewyDec 20, 2019
Potty pads are compatible with the Frisco Indoor Grass Potty.

does the urine drain threw this grass? I have another brand and the urine stays in the grass pad and requires constant cleaning.

Does the material shed or come apart easily ? I’m asking specifically because my puppy eats his wee wee pads and I’m looking for a better solution to them
Answer by ChewyApr 02, 2021
The Frisco Indoor Grass Potty is not chew or shed proof. For pets that tend to chew, we recommend using a bitter spray training agent to help deter behavior.

I often stay travel to other peoples homes. Is this portable enough to move around where ever I may need to be?
Answer by ChewyAug 10, 2020
This grass potty is easy to assemble and can be taken anywhere you go.

Dog Loves It...As Her Outdoor Doggy Bed

We tried everything to train Lucy to use this as her potty grass since we live in an apartment. It's been 2 years since we purchased it and it's holding up impeccably well as her favorite outdoor doggy bed. Whatever Lucy!

Bucky won't use it

I got this to place either outside on my patio or by my front door. Bucky has issues going potty outside when it's cold and rainy, and in the super duper rare instances where it snows. I got this grass potty pad in hopes of him being able to use it so he wouldn't have an accident indoors. No such luck. He won't even go near it. Currently it's just taking up space in a closet.

Grass potty

I was so excited to get this as my two yorkies will rip up puppy pads, but in all honesty it's not worth the money and not what I thought it would be. Theirs nothing that holds it to the plastic bottom to secure it, so once your dog finds out they can yank it around and chew on it, if that's their personality, they will. My dog drug the grass off the top, chewed it and trampled all in his urine that collects in the plastic bottom part. Really, really not worth it. You're better off purchasing a metal grate for the puppy pads.

Poor Puppy Pad

I was trying different things for my new puppy. I used this about a week before I gave up. The plastic piece underneath is extremely flimsy for the price. She was peeing on it though. However she begun pulling the grass pad off and slinging the pee around. I also had fake grass chunks everywhere. Maybe this works better for an already trained adult dog. I was worried she was going to ingest the grass too. If I hadn't taken it away it wouldn't have lasted very long.

WhyAren'tYou?

I've seen other dogs use it, my dog never had an interest so I gave it to a friend's puppy who is learning.

Grass is too absorbent

The grass is so absorbent it makes rinsing a pain unless you hang it and spray it for a long time. Really disappointed. I feel like a thinner less dance turf would work better

I think this is perfect

I got this for my puppy to use while she’s not fully vaccinated at our apartment, and I absolutely love it. Not only is it easy for her, I’m also not taking her out in the freezing cold every 3 hours (she shivers just being carried to the car). We put potty pads underneath the grass to make for easy clean up. We do have an attached garage that we keep it in, otherwise it definitely would be smelly inside.

Porch Pottie

I have only been using 2 potties/ 2 Chihuahuas for 3 weeks. I clean them constantly and the urine odor will not go away.

Really nice for very small puppy

Our little Piper just shivers violently and jumps up on us to be picked up or runs for the porch to be let in once the temperature drops into the 50's outside, especially if it's raining. Potty training went great with her until it started getting cold. We did notice that she was using the front and back doormats instead of the floor or rugs. So we purchased this mat and put it by the back door. It took about 2 weeks during a Fall coldsnap, where she had hits and misses, and sometimes she just sat on it at first like she liked it there. But I gave her praise and a treat when she pottied on the mat. Now, whenever it's cold or it's raining and in the 50's or less, this green mat is where she always goes. It's a relief for us because this mat is easier to clean than a doormat, rug, or the floor. Sometimes I just slip a couple paper towels between the green mat and the pan under the mat. Occasionally, we hose it off and let it dry. She hasn't used it much yet but now it's getting colder so we expect it to get more use.

Fantastic for city dogs

We live in a high-rise so our small dog uses this between longer morning and evening potty breaks when we can't make it downstairs/outside every hour. We just put it on the floor and he immediately pees on it. We use a disposable puppy pad placed in between the tray and the grass mat (they separate easily) to keep it cleaner. He has been using the tray for about a year - very convenient!
