good but some issues
By Mydogbuddy on Feb 25, 2021
So I have a new puppy. Likes to take 3 am walks and wont poop in the snow. So I thought this would be great. It works good. Easy to use, clean and he got accustomed to using it right away. Problem is he uses it while I am at work 1 and 2 but then pulls the pad out of the tray and makes a huge mess in his pen. So be aware that puppy can pull it out and make messes. Its obvious but its worse than I thought it would be lol I am going to purchase metal clamps so he can't pull the pad out. Also when I clean it the grass pad sheds soo much. I clean it every day because I do not handle dog smells very well. So I make sure its sanitized. The spray does help with oddors some but not enough. I also recommend So I have a new puppy. I got tbe 20x20 and its perfect size too for my 10 lb pup. Best wishes. … more

Perfect with some training (which is a given)
By jeylynne on Feb 22, 2021
Of course this is going to require some training-- your dog didn't just potty train themselves to go outside-- this is not going to work without some additional training. Rarely some dogs will just know what to do, but in most cases you need to put some effort in. I first used one of these when I lived in San Diego on the top floor--I put it out on the balcony and my dog used it just like regular grass. I didn't need a tray, I just put the faux grass mat on top of potty pads. I would put the mat in the shower and thoroughly rinse it with hot water, then spray it in a pet safe disinfectant and rinse again, then dry in the sun. I would put the mat in the shower and thoroughly rinse it with hot water, then spray it in a pet safe disinfectant and rinse again, then dry in the sun. Now that I'm back in Indiana and have a yard, I thought I'd never have to use one of these again. But I now have a second little dog who's very "sensitive." He would much rather poop on the rug by the front door than have to go out in the cold or wet. He will pee outside no problem, but he is particular about where he does his number twos and apparently he gets too cold before he can find his spot. It was difficult trying to get him to go out in the blizzard we had last week! So if he's going to be adamant about going in the house (at least he keeps it in one spot and doesn't pee in the house I guess...) I'd rather have him going on something that's not my rug. So I ordered one of these and so far so good. It helps that he doesn't pee on it, so the smell is easier to keep at bay since when I used these prior they were outside on the balcony. I just hope he doesn't totally give up on going outside now that this is an option (and I hope he continues to pee outside at least! that was my main concern with this purchase). … more

Wasted my money on this.
By Maxx on Feb 22, 2021
I just want to be clear that I love Chewy and everything else I have purchased was great!! However, maybe it’s just my puppy but all he did was dig and chew on it. Sometimes he would lay on it but never once went potty. So I threw away the top artificial turf looking stuff and use the bottom to water plants on. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Dog refuses to use
By Honey on Feb 13, 2021
I bought is in hope of my dog using in on our balcony when the weather is bad or after I get home from a long day of work at 11pm and am exhausted. I even bought the bundle with the fake urine to attract her to use it. I've even placed some of her own poo on it. We've had this for a few weeks now. All she wants to do is play with it, and destroy it. She refuses to even try to use it

Great product
By KTLG on Jan 15, 2021
This little potty mat has been such a game changer. We've been working on potty training our pup, but we live on the third floor in an apartment complex and it's winter time. Puppy pads were just confusing because we also have carpet, and he really couldn't tell the difference. We got the grass pad, put it out on our porch and it worked wonders. No more having to put on coats and shoes and walk down 3 flights of stairs. He took to it really quick. Its pretty easy to clean. I usually put potty pads underneath so it doesn't get too messy when we move it, and then rinse it down in the shower.

Grass potty mat for dogs
By Jtbw on Feb 23, 2021
My dog looked at it for a week & has now used it twice in 3 days between times of going outside for a potty break. The grass mat is easy to rinse off. The underliner is a little more effort so as not to spill, since our utility sink is not quite that large.

get a hose
By Barbara on Jan 22, 2021
This is a cool concept, but in an apartment with no access to a hose, you will want to think about where you rinse this. it can get pretty gross quickly. On the upside, my guy had no problem using it, although he did think it was real grass and laid in it after doing his business.

Not for chewers
By MotherPierogi on Jan 9, 2021
Giving 4 stars because I don't think this is a terrible product, but if your dog is a chewer, don't do it. It's pretty simple, a plastic tray with a grass mat that you place on top. I purchased pee pads to go underneath the pad for easier cleanup, this is a must-the bottom tray is plastic and will surely absorb the waste after awhile...smell won't be pretty and will become unsanitary. However, peepads will not replace the need to wash altogether. Grass is plastic so that can be rinsed clean. You can buy replacement grass and probably should if this product works well for your dog. My suggestion would be to add corners or some sort of lip to hold the grass pad in place and conceal the edges, which Giving 4 stars because I don't think this is a terrible product, but if your dog is a chewer, don't do it. It ultimately was not a total loss because I'm using the plastic tray now as a boot tray for winter, so if it doesn't work for your dog, get creative :) … more

Dogs love it.
By Darla on Feb 20, 2021
We use this on our 3rd floor patio. Both my dogs use it at night...yipee!! Which saves us from getting up in middle of the night, to take them down 3 flights to the outside yard.

Never used it
By Callie on Feb 7, 2021
My new dog was peeing on the floor so I got this potty - pee right beside it so I put a towel on top so it was more like the carpet which she used - she got on it and laid down - never peed on it one time
