This is lightweight and easy to use. We carry it up and down the stairs every night. Took a minute to figure out how to set up the bars, but once you figure it out, it's easy. Haven't tried folding it back yet. Love the convenience and flexibility of the three doors. I suspect any concerted effort to scratch or bite their way out would probably succeed. Ours tried a little scratching but it didn't damage it at all and then she gave up. Now she runs in and just lays there.
We purchased this crate for our English labrador. He normally uses a 42 inch metal crate at home but we needed some thing smaller and much easier to move for when we go to our cabin. This is awesome! It fits in our car so he can ride more comfortably and calmly on the way there, and then can be set up any place in the cabin. Highly recommend it.
I bought a heated cat bed right before all the horrible freezing weather hit and really it was too small and the cat refused to go in. I called Chewy to return and spoke with wonderful customer service and we chose this product and its large and he loves loves loves. Its now his new home on the porch.
I wanted a light weight crate to tote around for training classes and shows. Set the crate up and it stayed set up in the back of my SUV, never broke it down because it was so light it was easy to carry. Used maybe 10 times and I noticed yesterday that one of the frame pieces completely separated.
This crate is larger than I expected. And my dog loves it. My min pin mix was diagnosed with IVDD and the vet said that we had to keep her still to recover. She HATES her metal cage. But this crate she loves. She is in it when she does not have to be,
I wanted a larger crate for my growing girl; sizewise, this is pretty good -- a little large but OK. The reason not five stars is because working with the frame is such a challenge. It might be easier with a smaller crate, but it makes the large one cumbersome.
We purchased this crate for very casual use when traveling for our third dog. I have had other soft crates (Elite Field) for 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 years respectively and they are still in excellent condition, needing nothing more than a few screws tightened in that period, but wanted to save a little money on the larger size. Our dogs are impeccably crate trained and very calm/gentle when contained by any type of crate or gate. Our Frisco collapsible crate, at less than one year old, and with very light duty (used 12 times total, for less than 3 days a time) had one of the internal frame bars snap where it connects to the rest of the frame so it is not sagging and does not fold correctly. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. We will purchase another Elite Field brand crate instead; unfortunately "you get what you pay for" is very true here.
This kennel is lightweight and collapses! Very sturdy and easy to use. Note: While this is a great product please understand that your dog must be kennel trained and not aggressive when in it or it will not work. Great product from a great company. Would definitely order again.
I have had this crate for the past four years (I actually own 2) and I can say they have been a great purchase. The poor reviews are because people are using them for dogs that should have been in wire crates to begin with. My 5 year old lab absolutely loves being in her crate and frequently lays in it even when we are home. I love that the top unzips (we leave it unzipped as she likes to stick her head over the side). It is super simple to travel with and I have taken in on more than a dozen trips without issue. Because we love this crate so much my mom bought one for her terrier. He hates being crated and chewed his way out of the crate by the third or fourth use. I have had no issues with the crate or the zippers breaking after 4 years in either crate. If your dog is well-trained in the crate then I 100% recommend! If you struggle with the crate you shouldn't be looking at soft-sided crates to begin with. I also bought the coordinating durable mat which has been great. She hasn't destroyed it and it is very easy to wash.
Less than a year with our English Bully in this snd the front mesh is ripped. He scratches at the mesh to let us know he needs to go potty, and it has ripped as a result. I’m afraid he’ll get his head or paw stick in it so I’m ordering a new one. Just so you know this may not be a long term option. Otherwise I like the crate, we use it at night and on trips. Nice that it collapses down in the car, then we set it up upon arrival.
