    He's comfortable already

Cliff notes if you don't want to read everything: Dog loves it. He is comfortable with both the short end door and longer side door. It is study enough for him, but he is not a chewer or destroyer. I love it. It is easy to put up and take down. Mace is an 7yo, 80+lb mix of stubbornness, snuggles on his schedule, and soft supermodel ears. I was prepared for a week of snacks to get him into the cave, but - one cheese stick later - he was comfortably snuggled in. We got Mace when he was 4; we did not have a crate for him, but he is very good in the house by himself (no destruction, chewing, counter surfing, etc.). But we did notice that he liked to sit in corners or have his head under something - like the console table. We thought maybe he was crate trained as a puppy and he would like his own space. We put the new crate in a corner he likes to sit and added one of his cushions. He has loved it since day one. One con - we about the XL one based on the size chart (+4in in length, +4in height). It is HUGE and given the way he sits and sleeps, I probably could have gone with the size smaller. But better too big than too small. We may buy a size smaller to take camping and other overnight trips. I have no trouble putting it up and taking it down, so this is an ideal option for overnight trips. So far we haven't taken him to a hotel, since we haven't had a crate for him, but this opens lots of new adventures now. … more

I bought 3 of these for my dogs and so far all but 1 has been fully destroyed. These kennels don’t hold up well at all; the zippers break easily, the mesh easily rips, they don’t want to stay upright and locked into place and when you go to clean them their are little crevices that’s you can never fully I bought 3 of these for my dogs and so far all but 1 has been fully destroyed. These kennels don’t hold up well at all; the zippers break easily, the mesh easily rips, they don’t want to stay upright and locked into place and when you go to clean them their are little crevices that’s you can never fully get the dog smell out of. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on these. I switching back to metal crates with nylon covers. … more
