Frisco Insulated Quilted Bomber Dog & Cat Coat

My mommy bought me this jacket to keep me warm when we go for walks. It feels really nice and the large fits me just right even though I'm not a very big girl at just under 20 lbs. I'm not a diva so I like that it isn't girlie. We slip it on like a sweater without undoing the velcro because it's hard to line up and close real smoothly underneath on my tummy while I wriggle.

We have a ~53lb hound mix with a short coat and live in Michigan, so we wanted something to keep him warm during winter walks. We purchased this and another coat (both Frisco brand) to see if he/we liked one better than the other. After reading the reviews, I bought a size up and got an XXL instead of XL, which is the size we purchased for the other coat. It was definitely a good idea, the XXL fits pretty well, I do worry that the sleeves might be tight on my dog's armpits, but he seems fine! Overall it's a cute/warm coat and seems well made. The only other thing is I wish the opening on the back for the harness was bigger and/or a zipper opening. overall a great jacket, but after a couple of gentle uses, the quilting thread has come apart in several places. still structurally sound, though, just aesthetically a tiny bit tattered looking

The only reason this got four stars instead of five is that the sizes are ridiculously small. I had to return the medium for a large. This for a 21 pound Chihuahua terrier mix. Really? Large? I like Frisco products; the jacket is well-made and seems to be warm. What I particularly liked about it is that it has arms so that her little underarms don’t get cold. Chewy did a great job returning the medium and sending me a large right away. They didn’t even have me send back the wrong size and suggested that I donate it. You don’t have to be afraid to order something that might not be exactly right because of the excellent customer service.

This coat looks so cute on my Chihuahua. It kept him very warm. He would spread out to sleep while wearing this coat. The velcro is thick and sturdy that allowed me to pick up my baby from it. He usually chews up his sweaters but not this one. He wasn't able to squeeze out of it either. Wish I had this coat years ago. Highly recommended.

Purchased two of these - one for a 14-lb Jack Russell and one for a 76-lb. Black Mouthed Cur. These coats are cute but definitely fit my larger dog quite small - it's VERY tight in his shoulders. These are meant for walks in the city where there are no branches to grab them. Day 2, our larger-sized one already had a huge hole ripped in it when our big guy checked out a bush in the yard. They are also not water-resistant - my dogs come in with soaked coats from a 15-minute walk in about 5 inches of snow.

As countless others have already mentioned, the size runs small. In addition to that, overall quality/construction is poor. The "pockets" (which are not functional, btw) are not symmetrically placed -- they are off center. Although it's purely for aesthetics, it still shows a lack of quality and attention to simple details. On the functional end, there is no leash opening for dogs wearing harnesses.

Seems to be good quality and is super cute. Fleece lined with a smooth (maybe water resistant?) outer layer. Read the reviews to size up and I definitely agree. Got an XL for my GSD/lab/rat terrier mix. She’s about 30ish pounds. Fits slightly loose, but looks comfortable. I think the large would’ve been too tight. Velcro makes it super easy to put on.

This coat is made with great material, very warm, and a great design but just isn’t true to size. I ordered an XX-L for my 98lb lab to replace his old coat he outgrew which was from a local pet store and was labeled as simply Large. I figured an XX-L would be the better option for him because he is large in the chest area. Unfortunately, the coat didn’t fit at all. However, it does fit my 50lb beagle very well. He stays very warm and looks comfortable walking around in it. Absolutely would recommend for medium sized dogs.

As others have said, it's a little tight between the front legs when the dog tries to walk, but otherwise, it's a very nice jacket. Easy to put on. Warm. Great price! I bought an x-lg for a 30# Beagle so sizing is a bit wonky. I would buy it again for sure.
